ELIZA W SCURRY

Eliza W Scurry, 90, passed away at her home peacefully on Friday, May 3, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 6, 2024 at Richardson Funeral Home. Entombment will be private at Palmetto Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home. The service will be streamed live for those that cannot attend on the Richardson Funeral Home (Marion, SC) page.

Mrs. Scurry was born in Marion, SC a daughter of the late Hallie Rowell White and M Burnie White. She is also preceded in death by her husband Errol Scurry; a son, William H Meggs; and a brother, William D White; sisters, Kate Platt, Margaret Jordan, and Shirley Gardner. During many years of her life, she owned and operated Earl’s grocery with her late husband. She was a member of Little Bethel Baptist Church.

Surviving are her granddaughter, Brittany Meggs of Raleigh, NC and a sister, Bernice Baxley of Wilmington, NC.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
