Blue Funeral Home in Marion is a quiet residential community in Southern Illinois. Proud to be family owned and operated, Blue Funeral Homes serve the people of Marion, Goreville, Creal Springs, and Pittsburg. Originally known as The Meredith Funeral Home, the home came under the ownership of Monte Blue in 1999. In late summer 2002, the name was changed to Blue Funeral Home. Blue Funeral Home in Goreville was originally built in 1985 by Everett Whitnel and following his retirement, the chapel became available in July, 2002. After an extensive remodeling project, the facility is refreshed and more functional, having tripled the size of the chapel on the inside, and made many exterior improvements including the large parking lot.
