Good afternoon! This post is very different from our usual posts, and I ask that you watch (7 mins but important!) and share our video. We are fighting every day to make sure the services we render stay available to your children. Some days that fight feels overwhelming, but with your voice and support we can make a difference. God has blessed us with the opportunity to serve you all, and that is a blessing we will continue to fight for because the services they need are medically necessary, and we will never take that for granted!

As schedules shift and school services pause, therapy spots tend to fill quickly. If you’re considering services for your child, now is the time to get referrals submitted and evaluations scheduled to secure your summer appointment times.

Quick parking update for our Marion families! 🚧 While construction is happening in the front lot, please plan to park in the back parking lot for appointments.

If back parking is full or difficult, your child’s therapist will be happy to communicate with you and can even meet you outside to help walk your kiddo in.

Thank you all so much for your patience and flexibility. We’re excited about the updates the building owners are putting in and can’t wait to see how great everything looks when it’s done!

So some of you have been with us since the beginning, but seeing this memory made me want to share how blessed we’ve been to work with so many amazing families and to help make these super important services available not just in McDowell County, but all over Western North Carolina.

When Ashley started Invitation Therapy, she rented a one-room building that you honestly hoped you wouldn’t fall through the floor when you walked in. Her goal was to provide awesome speech therapy services with her own hands to the kids she loved so much. As she worked incredibly hard, God shined a light on the greater need — not just here in McDowell, but throughout the region.

This video was taken during construction after Ashley and I signed with GEM for our first expansion in the Miller Building. It’s amazing how far we’ve come, and it’s all because of our incredible families and staff who continue to do such amazing work.

If you’ve ever been to our clinic in the Miller Building, take a look at this and see how much we’ve grown! A huge thank you to all the communities we serve for trusting us to work with your children. It is a blessing we will never take for granted!

****Attention Lenoir Invitation Therapy Families****

When visiting for services, please park on the News Topic parking lot side and walk down the front sidewalk to access the main entrance of the building. A significant amount of residual ice and snow remains and is slowly melting and falling from the roof. Efforts are being made to remove it, but this will likely continue for hours, and your safety upon arrival is our priority. Thank you and stay warm!
