Helen Olive (Burggraf) Wilcox

Helen Olive (Burggraf) Wilcox, a woman whose life was a song and whose kitchen was always warm, passed away leaving a legacy of sweetness and melody. Born in Marion, Ohio, on August 14, 1964, Helen was the daughter of the late Jack Darold and Anita Joy (Newell) Burggraf.

Helen’s life was a beautiful song, but its most joyful chorus began on New Years Eve in 2015, when she married her husband, Danny Wilcox. Their anniversary was a yearly celebration of the deep love and partnership they built together.

To know Helen, was to know a woman whose hands were always busy and whose heart was always open. As a baker at Red Lobster, she turned her craft into a gift for others, finding a quiet peace in the rhythm of the kitchen. But if baking was her talent, music was her very soul- it was her “whole life,” the backdrop to every memory and the spark in her eyes. Whether she was humming a melody while shopping for treasures or sharing a song with those she loved, Helen sang life in her own beautiful key.

More than anything, Helen’s world revolved around her family. She is survived by her children, Kaylee Joy Lines, Thomas Marvin Lines III, Jonathan Daniel Wilcox, and Shelena Danielle Wilcox. She was the proudest grandmother to five: Damian William, Twins; Thomas Marvin IV, and James Michael Randy Ray, Mallory Marie, and Gage Alexander.

She is also survived by her siblings, Jacqueline Kay Yeoman, Brent Alan Burggraf, and Brian Darold Burggraf. She now joins her parents and her sister, Janet Lee Jackson, in rest. Helen’s warmth, her love of a good shopping trip, and her cookies will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Kevin grew up in Spencerville, Ohio and graduated from Spencerville High School in 1975. He lived most of his life in Lima and for a short time in Jacksonville, Florida where he loved singing in the church choir. Kevin was a pipefitter and member of the plumbers and pipefitters Union. Bill Cluff

B

Bill Cluff, a lifelong resident of Marion and a graduate of Marion Harding High School, passed away on March 23, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on June 26, 1941, Bill was the son of the late Donald and Irene Cluff. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Paula Reid and Sharon Nischwitz.

An Army veteran and a retiree of Whirlpool, Bill was defined by his work ethic and his commitment to providing a good life for his family. He was a talented woodworker who could fix or build almost anything. His most enduring project was the home he built himself, where he and his family lived for over 45 years.

Bill set a quiet, powerful example of taking good care of what you have and who you love. He was a longtime member of the Oakland United Methodist Church and enjoyed good times with the Moose and Eagles Lodges.

Bill shared 62 years of marriage with his wife, Diane. He is survived by his children, Jill (Michael) Smith and Chris (Laurie) Cluff, as well as his sister, Carol(Ed) Crabtree, his brother, Donnie(Phil), brother-in-laws John Nischwitz and Phil Reid and sister-in-law Gloria Short. Perhaps his favorite role was that of a devoted grandfather to Ella and Arabel Cluff. Whether he was riding roller coasters, building custom rocking horses and doll cradles, playing endless rounds of Uno, or heading out for ice cream, Bill was always game for whatever made his granddaughters happy.

Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes. He valued his long-standing friendships and possessed a playful sense of humor that put others at ease. There are rumors that Bill had a mischievous streak in his youth that likely attracted Diane in the first place. He was particularly appreciative of a well-cooked meal, especially those prepared by Diane, and he famously always came out ahead at a buffet. His gentle teasing and easy laugh will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.
