Sharon Kay Villars, age 70, passed away surrounded by her loving family September 29, 2025. Sharon was born to the late Harold and Irene Little Grandma “Penny” (Pennington) Carter November 11, 1954, in Crestline, Ohio. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Mike Carter, Frank Carter, and her twin sister Karen Rodgers.

Sharon is survived by children, Anita Carter, Becky Hale, Jennifer Webster, Brent (Stacy) Webster, Brad Villars, and Desrah Villars; brother, Ron (Tammy) Carter; sister-in-law, Tina Carter; lifelong best friend, Reba Witten; her cat fur baby, Diamond; granddaughter, Angel Hale who provided Sharon with special care up until her last day; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Sharon was involved in bowling league in Bucyrus and with the Bucyrus Conservation League for years. Over her life, she enjoyed the simple things like camping, fishing, gardening, and prided herself on her beautiful landscaping. One of her favorite hobbies was coin collecting. She loved spending time with her family, which was always very important to her. She will be missed by all that knew her.

The family will be planning a private celebration at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society. Moments of remembrance may be left online at www.cremationservicesofohio.com.

Brenda G Melvin, age 79 of Bucyrus, OH passed away October 6, 2025, at Bucyrus Hospital. She was born March 31, 1946, to the late Frank and Mildred (Ratliff) Sweeney in McCarr, Kentucky. Brenda was married for 44 years to Charles "Chuck" Melvin on July 22, 1982.

Brenda is survived by her husband and best friend Carol Trout. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Steven Cramer, sisters: Loretta Johnson and Julia Dicks, and brother Bobby Sweeney.

Brenda was a beautiful, friendly lady who enjoyed sewing and taking care of her house. She loved her two dogs: "Bucky" and "Bri".

Affordable Cremation Services of Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements.

Michelle YVette Buckner, age 64, passed away at Marion General Hospital September 22, 2025. Michelle was born to the late Paul E. Smith and Carol L. (Gilbert) Sherman August 25, 1961, in Marion, Ohio. Michelle is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Buckner; brothers, Douglas Smith and Michael Smith; her beloved dog Henry; and nephew, Trenton Derenberger.

Michelle is survived by sister, Tamara Monk; significant other, Sherman Hornbeck; nephews, Nathan Franklin & Family, Zackery Stanley & Family, Clifford Stanley & Family, Derrick Chatman & Family; nieces, Ashley Greenwalt & Family, Kristy Knese & Family, Tiffany Smith & Family; as well as several beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and all her life long friends and Facebook family; and special friend Patti Glass and cousin Kerrie Hartley.

Michelle was a member of the Amvets of Marion. She had quite the green thumb and loved growing her gardens of flowers and tomatoes. Michelle would occasionally go camping and enjoyed swimming. Michelle was a devoted Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes Fan. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Kathy “Kat” Ann Redmon-Rutter, age 65, passed away at Marion General Hospital September 3, 2025, surrounded by family. Kat was born to the late Donald Isaac and JoAnn (Woolum) Redmon May 29, 1960, in Marion, Ohio. Kat is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Don Ray Redmon; and husband, John Rutter.

Kat is survived by children, Keith (Tracy Wilson) Whitted, Angel Star (Jeremiah) Franklin, Amy Sue (John Paul) Whitted, and Olivia Whitted, McKenna Whitted, and Paisley Whitted; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; brothers, Rick (Sue) Redmon and Paul (Chrissy) Redmon.

Kat loved her shopping, most recently, Temu became her favorite shop for gifts and new trinkets. She loved taking care of her kids and grandkids, and family was always so very important to her. She never knew a stranger, and had so much love in her heart. She was a great cook, had a green thumb, and for many years traveled to fairs and festivals living that care free lifestyle. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Herbert E Jordan, age 66 of Marion, OH passed away October 4, 2025, at his home. He was born October 26, 1958, to the late Woodrow Jordan and Mary (Reinwald) Cripple Jordan in Marion. Herbert married Linda (Keirns) Jordan December 1, 2012, who survives in Marion.

Herbert is survived by his wife, children: Herbert (Sarah Andrews) Jordan of Marion and Brandy (Robert) Ohman of Washington, step children: Penny Freeman, Chuck (Jennifer) Daniel, Jimmy Milliron, and Nikki (David) Miller, grandchildren: Aaliyah, Noah, Lincoln, Roman, Evee, Preston, Jaxson, Emma, RJ, and Julian, several step grandchildren, brothers: Woodie (Sandy) Jordan and Bob (Sandy) Jordan. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Herbert was a 1976 graduate of Marion Harding High School, worked as a welder at Union Tank Car in Marion, was a charter member of Espyville Community Baptist Church, then in 1998, became Pastor there. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Herbert was a little ornery, but dedicated his life to his family.

There will be calling hours Tuesday October 7, 2025, from 5-7 pm at Espyville Community Baptist Church, 805 Espyville Rd. N, Marion, OH 43302. Funeral service will be Wednesday October 8, 2025, at 11 am at the church, followed by interment at Chapel Heights Cemetery, 2622 Marion-Upper Sandusky Rd. Marion, OH 43302. Pastor Randy Nichols officiating.

Donald Ray Redmon II, age 35 of Marion, OH passed away on Friday September 19, 2025, at Marion General Hospital. Donald was born October 24, 1989, in Marion to the late Donald Ray Redmon I and Rosalind Starcher who survives in Marion.

Donald is also survived by children Mikey Patterson, Brent, Honesty, Bella, and Damion Ray Redmon; sisters Destiny Redmon and April Douglas, 5 nephews, 1 niece, and 4 great-nieces.

Donald lived his entire life in Marion and was a tattoo artist. He always had fun being around other people. Donald also loved to ride motorcycles and was an organ donor.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on October 13, 2025, at 11 am at the Marion Nazarene Church, 233 W Church St. Marion, OH 43302.. Affordable Cremation Services of Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements.

Roger Neal Lichtenberger

Roger Neal Lichtenberger, age 77, passed away on Wednesday October1, 2025, at the Kobacker House in Columbus, OH. He was born on February 20, 1948, in Marion, OH, and graduated from Pleasant High School, class of 1967. Shortly thereafter, he was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Roger was stationed in Germany as a surveyor and played on the Army basketball team. After his service, he returned home and worked at Quaker Oats for many years.

Roger enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing co****le and hanging out with friends. He was also an active member of the Waldo Sportsman's Club.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents: Ralph and Evelyn Lichtenberger. He is survived by son Richard N (Sarah) Lichtenberger, sister Patricia "Lichtenberger" (Regan) Hensel, grandchildren: Aiden N Lichtenberger, Kali "Lichtenberger" (John) Dobbins, and Kyle Lichtenberger, great-grandchildren: Demi and Leland, nephews: Heath Hensel and Nolan (Erin) Hensel, and special companion Polly Kilgore.

The Lichtenberger family will be holding a Celebration of Life at the Waldo Sportsman's Club, 735 Waldo-Western Rd. Waldo, OH on Saturday October 11, 2025, at 11 am; lunch immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Waldo Sportsman's Club in Waldo, OH.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Riverside Methodist Hospital and the Kobacker House in Columbus for the incredible and compassionate care shown to Roger.

Joseph Harper, 82, passed away on Thursday September 25, 2025, at Woodside Village in Mt. Gilead. Joseph was born May 6, 1943, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Joseph Edward Harper and Florence Josephine (Stiffler) Harper. He was also preceded in death by wife Paula (Stein) Harper September 19, 2024; sons Joseph Allen Harper, Robert David Harper, and Adam Lee Harper; brothers Chuck and Jim; and sisters Ruth Hylton, Sis Preest, and Mary.

Joseph is survived by daughter Kristinna (Berlin) Stephens of Marion; grandchildren: Josephine “Missy” Harper, Crystal Dawn Harper, Adam Acord, Rochelle McCollum, Joseph “Buddy” Harper, Kevin Stephens, Seth Acord, and Savannah Stephens; 12 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Joseph last drove truck for Ryder PIE and was a graduate of Columbus State University. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. Joseph enjoyed activities with his wife such as flea markets, car rides out of state, and fishing. He was a Cincinnati Bengals fan and at one time raised livestock and did scrapping.

Bill was born to the late William Henry Sexton Sr. and Hazel Edith "Adkins" Simmones in Portsmouth, Ohio, February 14, 1955. Bill married the love of his life, Teresa "Hill" Sexton. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Jim Sexton and Anita Arthur.Bill is survived by wife of 48 years Teresa Sexton; children, William James Sexton, Jason Michael (Becky) Sexton, and Sarah Sexton; sister, Marti Sexton; grandchildren, Carson, John, Albany, Abigail, Aaron, Jericho; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.Bill graduated from River Valley High School, class of 1973. Bill worked most his life as a machinist with Semco INC. He enjoyed the simple things in life like canning, gardening, and working on his own cars and the family's cars when able. He enjoyed going to flea markets, camping, fishing, and being outdoors in general. Bill always stayed busy and was very handy around the house. Roy Leon Holland

Roy “Butch” Leon Holland, age 76 of Marion, OH passed away September 11, 2025, surrounded by family. Roy was born October 12, 1948, in Iola Kansas, son of Roy and Lola “Johnson” Holland. Roy graduated from Iola High School in 1966, then went on to serve in the U.S. Army.

Roy moved to Ohio, married Regina Bender, they divorced. He then later married Pamela Jo Kauser on May 26, 1984.

Roy worked most of his life as a welder in Ohio. Then Roy and Pam owned a small convenience store Hometown Pantry in Bainbridge, Ohio from 1997-2002, they sold it and moved to Kansas where he retired from Knisley Manufacturing as a Machinist. In 2021 they moved back to Ohio to be closer to their children.

Roy loved hanging out with his family and friends. Vacations revolved around visiting Ohio, Kansas, and Florida. He enjoyed being outdoors in nature, camping, hiking, fishing, and hunting. Roy loved watching his grandsons play soccer and his favorite sports teams: Buckeyes (where he attended many home games in “The Shoe”), Browns, Chiefs, and Jayhawks. He also liked going to car races and horse races, and his hobbies in life were horse training, raising pigeons, and car racing at the drag strip, building/creating things, and especially jamming out to rock and roll.

Roy was preceded in death by his mother; children, infant twins Daniel & Joseph, and son Jeremy; and siblings, Phyllis Cook, Madalyn Varnell, Margery Masterson, and Rodger Holland.

Roy is survived by his wife Pam of 41 years; son, Daryl (Michelle) Holland; daughter, Melissa Holland; daughter-in-law, Cindy Holland; sisters, Linda Overton and Connie Shetlar; grandsons, Landen and Caleb; fur baby, Roxanne; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a private Celebration of Life service held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Marion Humane Society. Condolences may be left online at www.cremationservicesofohio.com.
