🤰A delivery (C-section) can be the safest option when certain concerns come up during pregnancy or labor – helping protect both you and your baby. C-sections are major abdominal surgery, and the most common surgery performed for pregnant patients in the U.S. If you’re preparing for childbirth, talk with your obstetrician about what may be the best path forward for you and your baby.

Here, Dr. Cindy Celnik, chief medical officer for HCA Healthcare Women’s Services, explains why doctors perform C-sections and what to expect if a C-section becomes part of your delivery experience.

Across our broader HCA Healthcare network, caregivers support more than 200,000 births each year, with care that’s personalized to you and your family. Looking for an obstetrician? Learn more about our women's services programs and providers: https://bit.ly/4shlNTX

Egg-stra Special Rounds at Mission Hospital McDowell!🐣🍭

Our leadership team recently hopped through the halls to deliver some serious sugar (and a lot of gratitude) to our amazing staff!

We know our team works hard around the clock, so we wanted to make sure their Easter was egg-ceptional. After all, it takes some-bunny special to provide the care our community deserves!

Ready to join a team that treats you right?

We’re looking for more "good eggs" to join the family!

To mark the beginning of , we were joined today by Kimberly Koontz, COO of HonorBridge, for a special ceremony in our lobby. It was a meaningful opportunity to pause and recognize the selfless legacy of donors.

The ceremony was made even more impactful as our own staff members shared personal stories and experiences regarding organ donation. Their perspectives serve as a powerful reminder of why we are so committed to raising awareness for this life-saving cause.

As we move through April, we remain proud to support the heroes among us and the gift of life they share.

"A concussion can happen in an instant — a tough hit, a sudden jolt or any impact that makes the brain shift inside the skull," says Kelli Franklin, Mission Hospital pediatric trauma program manager. "And here’s the tricky part: some symptoms show up right away, while others don’t appear for hours or even days. That’s why it helps to know what to watch for and when to get help."

Mission Health emergency rooms are equipped and ready to evaluate serious head injuries and provide fast, specialized care when it matters most.

Take a moment to learn the warning signs, when rest is enough and when it’s time to call 911 or head to the ER. Your brain deserves the best protection. 🧠
