A huge thank you to Sandy Magers for such a kind recommendation of Heartland Hospice. It is truly such an honor to care for your mom and be alongside her journey.
“Hi, my name is Sandy, and Joyce is my mother. She is at Wesleyan Health nursing home. I just wanted to take a minute to let you know how happy I have been with all of the services we have received from Heartland Hospice. I was skeptical at first because I always thought hospice was for people who were close to death. Alyvia, the girl who helped me get mom enrolled at Heartland, is great too. Anytime I have a question, I just shoot her a message and she gets me an answer right away. She is so easy-going and great to work with. She was my first contact at Heartland and helped me decide if Heartland Hospice would be good for my mom. My mom is almost 94 and does have some problems, but she is not on her deathbed. So I decided to give Heartland a try anyway. I want to give kudos to your staff and hope you pass the compliments along to them. Andrew, the pastor at Heartland, is a super great guy. He always calls me after his visits with mom and gives me an update. He’s learned to take cookies or cupcakes and coffee to her on his visits because she does have a little mean streak in her and doesn’t like to be messed with. So Andrew has learned his way around her grouchiness. Jenn, her nurse, where do I begin? She is the absolute best nurse I’ve ever come across. She is so caring and thoughtful about mom‘s needs. She always calls me after each visit, and they aren’t just calls to see if your mom‘s doing OK. She goes into detail about mom and her care. I haven’t been able to visit my mom because of an injury to myself, so Jenn offered to FaceTime so I could see my mom. She also sent me a picture of herself and my mom, which brought tears to my eyes. I know it seems like I’m rambling, but I wanted to tell you how thankful I am that I decided to go with Heartland Hospice. You have a wonderful staff! Thank you, Sandy.”
