Hey Besties! Katie here 🥰 Just a friendly reminder that as my own wedding day approaches, as does more-than-normal time off and a super busy schedule (at work & at home)! This means i have a more limited availability, so it’s super important to prebook your appointments or i unfortunately won’t have room to service you🙁 As much as Id love to lash everyone, there’s no way or i’d be working all night long 🤣 My appointments go on a first come first serve basis for my regulars. I have never done a “meet me” post, because I always felt it was more important to share and post my work, and the results of what I do. I didn’t think people would care who I am, what I look like. Although that may be true, I believe in the importance of being transparent, as well as developing personal relationships with all of my clients. When you message our page, this is who you are speaking with! Me, esthetician, the receptionist, the accountant, the therapist (joking, kinda)😉, the scheduler, the cleaner, the everything else that a small buisness owner has to become in order to survive 😂

Hi! I’m Katie McDaniel, owner and esthetician here! I have been a licensed esthetician since 2017, and owned Carolina Complexions since 2019! Im girly-girl to the max but i also enjoy lots of outdoor activities! My favorite hobbies include camping ⛺️ and gardening! 👩🏼‍🌾 I am getting married this year to an amazing man and we have two doggos! 🐶 I love what I do, and being in the beauty industry. Making women feel more confident and having a close relationship with so many amazing women and inspirations is what I love most about this “job!” I’m thankful I can be a confidant and friend to my clients. These appointments are therapy! Lol

Here to answer a few common questions we get often 🥰

Do lash extensions cause damage? NOT if applied correctly AND taken care of at home. They must be glued to 1 individual natural lash, not too heavy, and cleaned at home regularly!

How does that work? By gluing to 1 individual natural lash, that gives the hair the ability to continue to grow, and the extension can grow with it. Your natural lashes are all in different phases of there growth cycle at different times, and grow at different speeds. If you glue an extension to multiple natural lashes, the faster growing lash can pull at the slower growing ones! This will overtime cause damage. (This is why clusters and strip lashes need to be removed every day, because this is the same concept.) This is also why it is important to keep them clean! Dead skin and Oils (in skincare, makeup and your skin’s natural oil) can cause the lashes to stick together to eachother and clump, essentially doing the same thing and hindering them from growing at their own pace.
