Our residents had a surprise visit from Santa this week! Santa has been vacationing in Florida and thought he’d bring back a little bit of Christmas cheer in July, passing out sea shells and mints to everyone. It was a special treat for our residents and they absolutely loved the summer visit from Santa. Always celebrating life here at The Ozarks Methodist Manor!

Tomorrow is Thursday and The Manor Thrift Store will be open for your shopping pleasure! This week the featured items include a 4 piece luggage set, a Weber Grill, nice new collection of purses and shoes (including Coach), a beautiful sewing basket, a couple of tall vases, and much more! A big thank you to our resident, Charle Ware, for bringing another one of her talented piano students, Haley Olvera, to play for our residents at lunch in Delozier Dining room today. Haley is 16 years old and attends Aurora High School. She has been playing piano for 2 years now. Thank you, Haley, for the entertaining recital!

Today we are celebrating the birthday of our resident Karon Rapp who is an absolute sweetheart! She is 84 years young. We celebrated Karon’s birthday with decorations, cards, a delicious slice of birthday cake, and a happy birthday song in the dining room at lunch! Happy birthday Karon, may your day be filled with blessings. You are so loved and we look forward to celebrating many more birthdays with you!

Several of our Health Center residents went out for lunch at the new B's & G's Dairy Crest in Marionville this week. They enjoyed the delicious smash burgers, fried pies, and ice cream sundaes. The staff at Dairy Crest were so welcoming and helpful, it was a great experience. Residents said they look forward to returning there for lunch again in the future.

Tomorrow is “Happy Thursday” and The Manor Thrift Store will be open for your shopping pleasure! This week we have several like new items to love, including a small Weber grill and a large covered electric griddle. In addition, we have a beautiful sage green king size duvet with two matching king size shams. Come check us out! It was a busy musical and inspirational day at The Manor today. Gospel Ministry visited our Health Center, Memory Care, and Residential Care this morning, and then Chris Hudson & the Kids played gospel music for our Health Center residents this afternoon and even brought some delicious watermelon for everyone to enjoy! We are truly blessed at The Ozarks Methodist Manor!

Residents went out for lunch today to a new restaurant in Aurora, “Winston’s, The Ol’ Dawg Gone Bar & Grill”. Always on the go at The Ozarks Methodist Manor!

Tomorrow is Thursday and we have LOTS going on this week at The Manor Thrift Store! We have 2 collector Disney dolls, a sleeping bag, lots of pots & pans, a queen size bed set, beautiful potted plants, and for your shopping convenience we now have shopping baskets donated by a new special Manor friend!!! Stop by and check us out, we always look forward to seeing everyone!
