Today we celebrated the birthday of a favorite resident of ours, Calvin Hoenshell, who turned 95 years young! Calvin is such a sweetheart and loved by everyone. We wished him a happy birthday with cards and birthday cake. He enjoyed visits with his family and with friends. There is nothing better than celebrating life together with our residents! Today is the birthday of a very special lady, our resident Sally Ragland. She is 92 years young today! Sally was showered with beautiful flowers, cards, and phone calls from family & friends. We sang Happy Birthday to Sally wishing her a very happy birthday, surprising her with birthday cake. It is such a joy to celebrate life with our wonderful residents! Tomorrow is Thursday and The Manor Thrift Store will be open for your shopping pleasure. This week we have our St. Patrick’s Day items! Also, we have a crockpot, Black & Decker Spacemaker Can Opener, Hamilton Beach Mixer, air fryer, microwave, and much more. We will have some delicious homemade baked goods for sale too. We had a fun time with everyone while hosting Bingo today at the John Taylor Senior Center in Mt. Vernon. What a great group of Seniors (and staff) they have there! Congratulations to all our winners, especially the “Blackout” game winner for a Dollar General Gift Card. We look forward seeing everyone again when we can come back with some delicious cinnamon rolls!

This week we have a Bosch pod coffeemaker, 5 cup coffeemaker, cake plate with cover, baking pans, and office items. We held our “Employee Recognition & Service Awards for 2025” here at The Ozarks Methodist Manor. This annual event honors staff with at least 5 years of service to the Manor. We are blessed by the number of staff devoted to our Manor mission, having worked here over 5 years: 31 to be exact! This shows the “heart” and love so many employees have for our residents and co-workers; we are truly a Manor Family. We even have a “Golden Guild” honoring the staff members who have over 25 years of service, which this year is 8. “Outstanding People Providing Outstanding Care & Services” is what we are all about here at The Manor!

Our Health Center Valentine’s Royalty were chosen with Penny Votes. Congratulations to Finnis & Nova Essary who won Valentine’s King & Queen, and to Paul Branham & Nikki Ormsby who won 1st runner-ups. Of course all our residents were treated as royalty during our Valentine’s Celebration. It was a fun party!

Tomorrow is Thursday and The Manor Thrift Store will be open for your shopping pleasure! We have some great items for tomorrow. An accordion with case, a Black & Decker 22” tool box, office supplies, toys, games, children’s books, a Barbie doll, and a Precious Moments doll. We also have a microwave, a 4-slice toaster, an 8-place setting of dishes, plus much more! We are looking forward to seeing everyone (be sure to bring your friends and neighbors along) tomorrow at The Manor Thrift Store. DONATIONS ARE WELCOME!
