🥳 Congratulations Savannah! We appreciate you!!

Congratulations to Savannah Dent on receiving a $1,000 scholarship from the JCF Hospital Foundation as she works to complete her Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy at Modesto Junior College. Here, she stands next to Giving Committee Member Mari Bullis.

Savannah is currently a respiratory therapist at John C. Fremont Hospital. The bachelor’s degree will enable her to learn more through additional study of the profession, allowing her to better serve the community.

“Working at JCF is what convinced me to pursue a BS degree,” said Dent. “I want to improve my department. I care about this hospital and this community, and I want to help deliver the best care possible.”

“Breathing is our most basic function and one of the top reasons people come to the Emergency Room,” said Heather Bernikoff, Foundation President and Giving Committee Chair. “In the hospital setting, extremely well-trained people are needed to ensure those with respiratory issues can continue to breathe with greater efficacy and ease.”

“We were delighted to receive Savannah’s application,” continued Bernikoff. “She is committed to the highest quality patient care and wants to learn more about respiratory health. Approving her application was easy.”

⭐️Employee Spotlight🥳 Nanette Wardle has been a dedicated and integral part of our team now for 33 years this month.

Her JCF tenure sprouted from per diem, to full time RN, to ED manager (8 years), now leading our district in Emergency Preparedness with a side of Risk and Infection Control.

Nanette diligently scans for potential threats to our district like wildfires or impactful storms, always keeping in mind that patients come first. When a threat hits, she is leading the team to remain operable, safe and successful.

In her time outside of JCF, Nanette is a proud grandparent of three young grandchildren, has a heart caring for animals and enjoys cruising around the world with her husband. She highlights New Zealand as her favorite place to visit thus far.

Thank you, Nanette, for your years of service to our JCF community. We appreciate all you do!

Congratulations to Kati Baca on her graduation this summer from Nightingale College with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Way to go!

Kati works at the John C. Fremont Healthcare District's Northside Clinic in Greeley Hill. The JCF Hospital Foundation was pleased to provide Kati with $1,000 scholarships two years in a row to offset her costs as she pursued this advanced training, which in turn serves our community by increasing the quality of care at JCF. It's a win all around!

Investments such as this make a real difference for Mariposa communities, and the Northside in particular, in this instance. Thank you, Kati, for your great work and your dedication to furthering your knowledge and serving your community.
