⭐Employee Spotlight🥳
Tao Huang, RN (Acute) joined the JCF family in early 2025. Originally from China, Tao previously spent time as an RN Case Manager for Hospice of Santa Cruz County. Thanks to his local Mariposa friends, he and his family now also call Mariposa home.

He enjoys working alongside his dedicated healthcare teammates to build relationships with patients. Helping patients during critical moments is extremely rewarding for Tao, as he finds personal fulfillment in caring for others.

A highlight for Tao was when a patient expressed their wish to have Tao continue their high-level care after they were transferred.

Tao shares that JCF frontline workers provide care beyond just their physical treatment. Often providing comfort and support to patients and their families during some of the most challenging times in their lives.

Outside of work, Tao enjoys taking advantage of nature for relaxation and staying active in country living. Thank you, Tao for all you do for our community!

"Tao has been a wonderful addition to our Acute department team. We have received many positive comments from patients and family members describing him as kind, caring and generous. WOW! Thank you EVERYONE who made this possible! We are so grateful ☺️

It is a very happy holiday season indeed for the John C. Fremont Healthcare District! Stacey Kuzak, CEO, received a $42,020 check from Jill Harry, Beth Tomsick, and Mike Wichmann, representing the JCF Hospital Foundation, to purchase a state-of-the-art ventilator ($25,000), hospital bed ($11,500), and two IV pumps ($2,760 each). All of these items are essential for quality patient care and safety.

The Foundation thanks everyone who donated to its ventilator fundraiser through the Black and White Ball, Giving Tuesday, Science on Tap, or in some other way during the campaign. Your generosity was outstanding, enabling the purchase of the ventilator. It also allowed us to allocate additional Black and White Ball earnings to purchase three more critical pieces of equipment. All will make a tremendous difference in patient care.

The Healthcare District has identified further needs. It has requested five additional IV pumps and three more hospital beds.

Please consider an end-of-year gift to the Hospital Foundation to put towards these items. Gifts can be made at jcfhospitalfoundation.org/donate, or by sending a check to JCFHF, PO Box 1093, Mariposa, CA 95338.
