COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT 🌟
-
MPR Properties is dedicated to seeing the tri-city area thrive! We are thankful for other local businesses like Caring Hearts who share that same mission! We all know & love her. Mrs. Sandy Teague, owner of Caring Hearts Home Care Providers.

For more than 50 years, Sandy Teague has proudly called Marked Tree home—and for just as long, she has dedicated her life to caring for others. A Registered Nurse for over five decades, Sandy’s compassion and commitment to service are woven into the very fabric of our community.

In 2010, Sandy opened Caring Hearts Home Care Providers, bringing essential personal care services to individuals and families in Marked Tree and across 11 surrounding counties. Her leadership and vision have ensured that countless people receive the dignity, support, and care they deserve.

Sandy’s service doesn’t stop there. She has been the President of the Marked Tree Chamber of Commerce for 15 years, a member of the Lion’s Club for 20 years, Chair of East Arkansas Family Health Centers for 11 years, and has served on the Election Commission for two decades. She also gives her time and expertise to numerous local boards, including Planning and Zoning, Moving Marked Tree Forward 2030, and the Grant Writing Board.

Whether organizing events, volunteering, donating, or quietly stepping in where help is needed, Sandy is always there for Marked Tree.

She may be small in stature, but she stands tall in her community. đź’™

Happy Valentine’s Day from all of us at Caring Hearts!!❤️

Today we’re celebrating the heart of what we do — caring for others. Love shows up in many ways: a helping hand, a comforting presence, a listening ear, or simply showing up when it matters most. That’s the kind of love we’re honored to provide every day through our home health services.

To our patients, families, and dedicated caregivers — thank you for trusting us to be part of your journey. Your strength, compassion, and resilience inspire us more than you know.

Wishing you a Valentine’s Day filled with comfort, kindness, and the warmth of knowing you’re never alone. 💕

Red says it's still too slick out there! The East Poinsett County School District will be closed Monday, February 2nd due to hazardous road conditions. ❤️🖤

02/01/2026

After reviewing where our students live, bus routes, and the roads our community uses during school hours, we still have concerns about the safety of our students, staff, and community. Because of this, Marked Tree School District will not be in session on Monday, February 2.

This past week has been hard on families. These decisions are never easy, and we know they impact work schedules and daily routines. We are sorry for the burden this places on your family.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to put safety first.

In an effort to keep our families and community safe and warm, the high school shelter will open as a warming station on Friday at 6:00 p.m. If the shelter is not in use, it will close at 9:00 p.m. and reopen at 6:00 a.m. the following day. Each day, the shelter will reopen and remain open as long as conditions require. If not in use, it will close nightly at 9:00 p.m. until the weather threat has passed or students return to school.

At this time, no changes are being made to the school day on Friday.

We will continue to monitor conditions and will provide updates through social media, automated phone calls, text messages, and the district app as needed.

Today we pause to reflect on his legacy and the work still ahead.
