Our Memory Care loves Easter so much, it’s not even bunny! We glued cotton balls on paper shaped like a bunny and its ears, added some googly eyes, a nose, and used pipe cleaners for the mouth and whiskers. These little guys were so cute and the residents really enjoyed using their creative sides to bring them to life.

At our quarterly meal, we had tacos, Spanish rice, and ice cream sundaes! The activity department decorated the dining room with a Cinco de Mayo theme. We played music and had a great time. Staff even joined in on the fun while serving! The residents said it was the best meal yet!

Carol is a favorite resident in the Memory Care Community at Markle. Every Wednesday, everyone joins in an activity called “Cakes with Carol.” Carol used to make to make cakes for a living… big, elaborate wedding cakes and other confectionary creations of all kinds.

Carol’s husband shared that she had to always carry a cake repair kit with her when he would help make deliveries because he would always ruin the sides of her cakes with his thumbs when carrying them. But Carol was always prepared and always joyful when it came to baking her legendary cakes.​

Baking is Carol’s happy place, and she makes everyone else happy with her amazing gift of baking delicious cakes!
