To commemorate Mardi Gras, we organized a festive Mardi Gras celebration! We crafted decorative masks, perfect for the occasion. The residents enjoyed refreshing punch alongside delicious cookies and cupcakes. A lively game of Jeopardy, themed around Mardi Gras, was played, with Team Purple and Team Green competing fiercely. This is Carol, she lives in our Memory Care Community here at Markle. Every Wednesday we join in an activity called Cakes with Carol. She use to make to make cakes for a living. She would make big wedding cakes. One of the stories that her Husband told me was, she had to carry a cake repair kit with her when he would help deliver the cakes because he would always ruin the sides of the cakes with his thumbs when carrying them. A massive shout-out to maurices! We organized a delightful girls' shopping excursion to Maurices, and they generously set up a table brimming with treats. Donuts, cookies, refreshing drinks, and colorful candy were available for everyone to enjoy! These wonderful ladies truly brightened our residents' day. For a special Galentine's Day celebration, Hailey and Kiersten collaborated to prepare a delightful breakfast.
