I do not expect any hiccups, but events may unfold organically. Today I announce here on social media and through business newsletter that I am shifting my massage practice into the next phase. I am closing the Peninsula Medical Center office at the end of May. There is another massage therapist taking the space. I plan to serve a handful of my regular clients, continue to massage for hospice and move toward my studies. I expect to enjoy much joy in the coming months as I massage looking out at gardens and enjoy tea in the gazebo. The healing that Mike and I enjoy in our Riverland Home will be evident to all who visit.

The early steps of application to seminary studies has begun and I'll be writing several essays, and if God sees my heart and spirit as ready, I hope to attend Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque Iowa which will be done through distance learning and two retreats on campus each year. I hope to become a Deacon with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. This is a path of Word and Service. Again, I am still working on application process with my local synod. Baby steps.

In my practice as a massage therapist I have always held the vision that my patients are whole and exactly where they need to be. My core beliefs are that we all need to be seen as perfect in God's eyes, held in light and love as whole, worthy, enough, loved, heard, and sheltered. I might add that we all need to be seen as beautiful beings, which we are. My work with Upper Peninsula Home Health and Hospice as a contracted massage therapist has led me to slow down and "see" people in this way enriching my path.

I've several passions: Hospice, At Risk Youth, access to healthy food and shelter, those in transitional phases of life and more.

As an artist and Writer my tagline has always been, "I look for the angle of light that brings hope." It has been the theme of my life. The tagline the last few years of my massage practice has been, "Age with Grace at All Ages." I received the call to minister 6 years ago this summer. I am ready.

I thank you all for your continued support on my journey through the phases of life.

In June I have two trips that bump right up against each other. This means I will be off 14 days. I will be going on a trip to Grand Rapids (with hubby) and then a Beach Camping Trip (solo).

This also means I need to work on "banking" the moola for the usual bills in June.

This also is posted to help clients pace their massage needs. I am keeping you all in mind especially if you are normally monthly of every 5-6 week clients managing your healthcare needs.

I'll also be putting up the Summer Express packages that will offer savings for you May-August massages. They will be 3-packs and 5-packs. But for transparency letting you know June bookings will be tight.

Yoga is for our Good Days & our Challenged Days

My personal practice changes as I age and as I cope with mental and physical diagnosis. Recently I realized, sometimes, when everything is aligned I can dance and jog. Other days I need chair yoga and walking poles.

You see we can age with grace at all ages. We come to our yoga mat each day with awareness of the present moment. First do no harm is the phrase I share with my students. It is also the phrase I remind my self to honor.

I live in an abundant body. I am in my 60s :-)

I teach in assisted living facilities, outdoors, in studio, and wherever I am called to assist.

I am lucky that I could somewhat easily shuffle my Wednesday. Tomorrow at Hidden Gem it is Chair Massage day! I hope the roads are clear. I plan to start at 11am. Openings exist but my list is on the desk. You can call me on Thursday. 10-minutes 10 dollars. Or if there is a space for 20 minutes you can do that too!

Giving yourself rest and recovery. For me, I arrive at work an hour in advance of massage sessions to set up the room. Then take time to meditate and swing my legs up the wall.
