Staying hydrated is one of the easiest ways to support your muscles, joints, and overall recovery, especially in the winter when we feel less thirsty but lose just as much water. 💧

How much water should you aim for?

• Children (4–8): ~5 cups/day
• Pre-teens (9–13): 7–8 cups/day
• Teens (14–18): 8–11 cups/day
• Adults: 9–13 cups/day (more with activity!)
• Older adults: 8–10 cups/day to support joints and prevent fatigue

Winter Hydration Facts:
• Cold air pulls moisture from your skin and lungs, increasing water loss.
• Dehydration can worsen muscle cramps and joint stiffness.
• Even mild dehydration can impact balance, energy, and healing.

This holiday season, our team was honored to support the Women’s Center Adopt-A-Family program by delivering gifts to help brighten the holidays for a family of four. 🎄❤️

This effort was made possible through a wonderful collaboration between Active PT Ishpeming and Superior Rehab, with dozens of thoughtfully chosen items purchased for the family.
