Runners, did you know your shoes have a “mile limit”? 👟💨

Keeping your feet healthy can be as simple as rotating your shoes, keeping them clean and dry, and replacing them when it’s time. Your feet (and your runs) will thank you! 🦶💚

Somewhere between stretches and reps, the stories sneak in. It’s part of what makes PT fun. 😅

We want to know what are your favorite local hikes? 🥾💚

April is Foot Health Awareness Month and with warmer days on the horizon in the UP, it’s the perfect time to get back outside and enjoy the trails again. Hiking is a great way to stay active and keep your feet strong, just make sure you’ve got the right support and ease back into those longer hikes. ✨

If you’re an athlete and something feels off, don’t ignore it! ⛹🏽‍♂️ Pushing through an injury might seem like the tough move, but it can actually make things worse and keep you out longer.

If something feels off, even if it seems minor, it’s worth paying attention to. Talk to your doctor about whether physical therapy might be right for you. 💚

Being cleared to return to sport means more than just feeling better. 🏈💪🏻 Athletic trainers and physical therapists look at strength, mobility, stability, and sport-specific movement to make sure an athlete is ready to safely get back in the game. ⛹🏼‍♀️✨

You may have seen Scott or any of our other wonderful athletic trainers on the sidelines of local sporting events, but what roles do they actually play? ⛹🏽‍♂️

From injury prevention to on-the-spot care, they play a key role in keeping athletes safe and performing at their best. 💪

After experiencing injuries as high school athletes, both Nikki and Erin discovered their passion for sports medicine through the impact athletic trainers had on their own recoveries. ⛹🏼‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️

Today, they get to give that same support back to local athletes. Nikki serves as the athletic trainer for Negaunee High School, while Erin is the athletic trainer at Republic-Michigamme High School and helps provide coverage at other local schools when needed. Together, they help athletes stay healthy, recover from injuries, and get back to doing the sports they love. 🏀💪

Prescribing exercise isn’t one-size-fits-all and it’s never random!

Physical therapists look at the full picture: your movement patterns, strength, mobility, goals, and even what your day-to-day life demands. From there, every exercise has a purpose. It’s not just about getting you moving, it’s about getting you moving well. 💪

Congratulations!! Come out to celebrate a wonderful season!
