✨2021 Babes✨this is the memory that popped up on my phone today. It made me reflect on where we’ve been and where we are going. We’ve known each other for 14 years. Together for 4 (going on 5), Married for 2 (3 in April!).
Been witnesses from a distance and up close for reach other. Connected, walked our own paths for awhile and then reconnected. Managed to shed some old skins, old habits, old chaos patterns, with the support of one another. There is no doubt in my mind we were meant to come back home to each other.
The winding, swirling, whirling paths we each walk are incredible. What we can survive and growth through, nothing short of miraculous. Even though when we are in it, at times, it can feel like there is no light at the end, no coming out the other side. But when you can pause, and get some macrovision, wow. The last couple of years I didn’t do that often enough. The next “thing” to do, to work on, to figure out, was always there. And it will always be there.
As we stand on the cusp of what’s to come, instead of rushing through your day, I hope you hug your loved ones a little tighter. Tell your friends how much they mean to you. Reach out to that person you haven’t talked to in years but has been on your mind. Go out and whisper your worries to the trees and the waters and let them hold you.
As my compadre Jerry B would often tell me, it’s time to get out of your head and into your heart. Even though the urge to run and hide may be strong, I urge you to connect with your chosen family & the community you feel safest in. Because this is what will get us through. It is time to strengthen our heart connections with those that are dearest to us, to hold each other and tend to one another. Together we are stronger.
Cuida tu corazoncito 💕✨🌿
