Our office will be closed as off noon, Wednesday December 31st to allow our staff to enjoy ringing in the new year or maybe keep digging out from the blizzard!

Job description:
We’re seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Nurse to join our outpatient clinic team. This full-time role blends direct patient care, telephone triage, and operational support to ensure smooth, high-quality experiences for patients of all ages. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and value teamwork, precision, and patient advocacy, we’d love to meet you.

Patient Care & Assessment
• Deliver direct care across the lifespan, including immunizations, injections, and routine procedures
• Conduct telephone triage and determine appropriate follow-up (ER, office visit, specialist referral)
• Perform nurse appointments, obtain vitals, reconcile medications, and conduct non-invasive tests (EKG, NST, flu/strep/mono/COVID, ear lavage)
• Initiate in-house testing and immunizations using sound clinical judgment
• Educate patients and families using evidence-based resources
Operational & Administrative Support
• Prepare and document patient charts accurately and promptly
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace (including instrument sterilization and waste disposal)
• Oversee vaccination programs: ordering, stocking, and MCIR registry updates
• Support lab recalls, future order management, and nurse scheduling
• Communicate workload status and support needs to promote transparency
• Refrain from personal calls or errands during work hours (except designated breaks)
This is a full-time position with operating hours Monday through Friday, primarily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Some shifts may start as early as 6:30 AM or extend into the evening (up to approximately 7:00 PM), depending on provider schedules. The primary focus of this role is triage nursing, typically working from 8:30 or 9:00 AM until 5:30 PM, with occasional floor coverage as needed. Flexibility, reliability, and a team-first mindset are essential.

Monday 12/22 and Tuesday 12/23 will be regular business hours of 8am-5pm.
We will be closed 12/24 through 12/26 for Christmas.
We will reopen Monday, 12/29 for normal business hours.

If you are in need of anything in the upcoming days, we advise calling sooner than later as we will have limited staffing in the office starting 12/22/25.

Our Story

Our practice was opened in August of 1988 by Daniel Hardie, M.D. and his wife Alice McMahon, PA-. They were joined one year later by friend and colleague Mark Stevens, M.D., in 2014 by Erika Hefke, FNP-C, and by Spring Madosh, M.D., in 2017 .

We build a collaborative relationship with our patients, encouraging open two-way communication. Our practice strives to be proactive in your healthcare. We advise our patients to be seen yearly so we can provide honest, up-to-date advice on how to maintain good health.

Stevens Hardie Family Practice and Singletrack Health share call on nights and weekends and will follow you if a hospital admission occurs. We offer continued care at home for debilitated patients, assistance with home health & hospice, and local nursing home visits.
