NMU Pre-Dental Club

NMU Pre-Dental Club A group for past and present members of the NMU Pre-Dental Club. We encourage service and teamwork, the tenets that will guide future professionals.

Our purpose is to serve as a forum for students with an interest in pursuing careers in dentistry. The club fosters an environment where members may become more knowledgeable about the field of dentistry and the process of applying.

Pre-dental students had the amazing opportunity to participate in the Oral Health Literacy Project 2026!📚🦷🪥

This project aims to educate second graders all across the U.P. about oral health as well as provide oral hygiene kits and copies of “Curious George Goes to the Dentist” to every student. Thank you to the NMU Center for Rural Health for orchestrating this monumental project and to the Literacy Legacy Fund of Michigan for covering the cost of the books.

Thanks to Eric Balatayo from the Air Force for teaching us about the HPSP Dental School Scholarship as well as bringing dinner✈️ 🍽️!
Also, a big thank you to Dr. Anderson from 906 Family Dentistry for teaching us about sleep dentistry and letting us practice fillings on typodont teeth!🦷😴
