My name is Rachel Legacy and Iâm a competitive HYROX athlete. I recently competed in HYROX Atlanta on Saturday, April 26th, and Sunday, April 27th. On Saturday, I raced in the Womenâs Pro division and came in first place in my age group and second place overall with a two-plus-minute PR; on Sunday, I raced in the Womenâs Pro Doubles division and we came in first place overall with an almost-four-minute PR. This would not have been possible without the expertise and exceptional care provided by Perform Physio. Allow me to explain.
I sustained a rib injury on Tuesday, March 11th and was supposed to race in the Womenâs Pro division at HYROX Houston on Saturday, March 15th. I saw Dr. Carley Greenawalt on Friday, March 14th, and for the first time since injury, I could fully expand my rib cage to breathe and I was pain free. She accomplished this is in one visit. One.
I ended up not racing HYROX Houston for a variety of personal reasons; I transferred my ticket to HYROX Atlanta.
Following that one visit with Dr. Greenawalt, my rib pain continued to be alleviated about 80%. Determined to rehab it further to best be able to race in Atlanta, on Friday, April 18th, I made an appointment with Dr. David Skamai. He, like Dr. Greenawalt, was able to fix me in one visit. One.
I would not have been able to race in HYROX Atlanta, let alone accomplish the aforementioned, without the expertise and exceptional care provided by Drs. Greenawalt and Skamai.
HYROX is a rapidly growing sport and, if you want to be the best athlete you can possibly be, you need excellent rehab professionals in your corner. The doctors of physical therapy at Perform Physio are those excellent rehab professionals.
Thank you, Drs. Carley and Dave! I truly could not have done this without you! đđ
