Calling all MRM race participants!!

Head to the link before and sign up for this awesome trail run taking place on Saturday November 2nd at no other than Sleepy Hollow State Park in Laingsburg. There are two events to choose from.

I know the race director personally. He's a sweet guy. We have teamed up with him to create his awesome headless horseman age group awards.

I know this timing on a Friday night is not "ideal." I wanted to keep you all off potentially icy/snowy roads in the dark.

The MRM Frozen Buttcheek 5K is on Friday January 24, 2025. It includes the following events: 5K Run, 5K Walk, and Dog 5K Participants (Dogs only who are running with registered owners) "Choose Minor Under 18".

I am a HUGE recycler whether my single family efforts are helping the planet or not, I still do it. Last year I had our recycling containers but this year it wasn't possible to bring them to the 5K location. I hauled all the trash back and Luke separated the plastics for me before pickup yesterday.

No plastic got thrown out. That is something that bothers me about 5Ks. I know Epic Racing has taken measures to reduce and a few other racing companies are getting on board too. 💜

As long as the plastic can get recycled. 👍 I'm not a fan of plastic, but it's hard to be plastic free in this world.

Sponsor Shout Out! 😍

Homestate Electric was my first and only business sponsor after two races. I've gotten generous donations from friends and family but never a monetary sponsorship from a business. I emailed Phil 15 minutes before close on Friday and he called me within minutes saying he'd be happy to be a sponsor. He asked if I could meet him at Firekeepers to pick up a check right then and I took off to meet him.

This to me is unheard of. Homestate Electric not only sponsored my run, but acted so quickly. A company that believes in one person like they believed in me has miles and miles of heart.

Even though we personally haven't had electrical work done by them, I fully believe if you call them for a quote or service you will not be disappointed. We plan to use them with needed electrical work in 2025.

I attached their business card to everyone's bib on Sunday, had their business signs out at the race and now am displaying one in our yard. We have lots of Riverwalk traffic come past our house.

Everything in my race has symbolism.

Don't think for a second your age group bunnies don't.

There are so many bunnies on this summer breeze course. I hope my fastest runners aren't the only ones that get to see them. 💜🐰

I saw at least 15 on both my course runs during each 1.55 mile distance.

So many of you will take home a bunny based on my registrant numbers.

I only have TWO Mandy Runs Michigan Awards every race. Last year they went to two wonderful people.

This year making prints of my artwork came out amazing. I'm so excited about these. They are ready to hang or sit on a shelf if you are their recipient tomorrow. 8x8 in size.

This art project will be my favorite for a long time. Thinking of things that I love about Michigan and drawing tiny versions of them was awesome and it took me so many hours of fine detailed work.

I hope whoever receives these prints of my original work loves them. I love my home state more than I can describe in words.

To the two people (male or female) that run closest to my 5K Run and 5K Walk course times.

My most prestigious awards because they aren't standard 5K awards and they symbolize my passion for running and walking.
