I had a lovely day in Indianapolis today at the Indiana State Library attending their Genealogy and Local History Fair. My friend Edie and I enjoyed visiting with the vendors in the exhibit hall and attending sessions on the building of the National Road and migration to the Midwest.

It’s always a great day when you learn something!

The Fields of Honor - Database is a project of the Fields of Honor Foundation. This Dutch non-profit organization aims to honor the men and women who have been either buried in or memorialized at overseas American War Cemeteries in Belgium, France, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands. It does so by conducting research on them and by gathering this information centrally in the Fields of Honor - Database.

I am working to locate photographs of servicemen with ties to Clark County, Illinois to submit for Fields of Honor. There are 4 left that I have not located yet. Would anyone have photos of these men?

Don Postlewait - born 1917 in Clark County; died 11 January 1945
