Going on right now. We made sure to remind everyone that we do have a new orthopedic physician at our hospital. Playing in the Pink Out Powder Puff game is the staff of Fitzgibbon Hospital vs. the staff of the Marshall Public Schools. At the half the score is 22-8 with MPS in the lead. Fitzgibbon has won the match up the last several years.

We're honored to share a truly special moment in Fitzgibbon Hospital history. Roy Elfrink, M.D., who has served our area with distinction as a general surgeon for many years, had the privilege this morning of symbolically “passing the scalpel” to his son, Jacob Elfrink, M.D., who recently joined our team as an orthopedic surgeon.

This father-son moment represents more than the continuation of a family tradition. It embodies dedication to excellence in patient care. Dr. Roy Elfrink has touched countless lives in our community, and now Dr. Jacob Elfrink brings his expertise in orthopedic surgery to continue serving our patients with the same compassion and skill as part of Fitzgibbon Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.
