Happy New Year, Marshall!

We’ve had such a wonderful start to the year at Boiler House Saunas, and it’s truly a treat to be able to offer sauna and fitness to our community.

As we head into the new year, we’re looking at ways to continue refining what we have and thoughtfully adding where it makes sense — including the possibility of additional sauna days. We’ve heard the interest, and we want to make sure any changes support both our community and our operations in the best way possible.

Our first floor at CapitolaMill has transformed into this magical mix of everything that makes Marshall wonderful — makers, healers, wellness, creativity, and community all under one roof.

We’re now offering special discounted sauna rates for anyone with a wellness appointment here at the Mill. These reduced rates are only available before or after your wellness appointment: enjoy 45 minutes for $12 or 75 minutes for $20 during open sauna hours.

Boiler House Saunas — Then & Now ♨️

This photo shows the Boiler House at Capitola Mill sometime in the 1970s.

The building was originally constructed around 1905 as part of the Capitola Manufacturing Company, a cotton spinning mill that once operated here in downtown Marshall. The boiler house provided the heat the mill needed to run.

Decades later, after the mill’s textile years ended, the space stood quiet — until its recent restoration and new life as Boiler House Saunas.

From powering cotton to welcoming people in for warmth and rest, this little building has seen more than a century of change.
