Theisen’s More For Your Community grant has been a great source of support for our Transitional Living and Aftercare programs where we serve the homeless and assist young adults aging out of foster care. When you shop at Theisen’s, you are directly helping to improve the lives of families and children in our area. Through their donations and sponsorships, they support several agencies and programs across Iowa. Theisen’s Marshalltown store opened their doors in 2001 and continue to be a great asset to our community!

Our longtime partners, the Marshalltown Elks Lodge #312, continue to be a great community resource! Members of the lodge partnered with our summer intern Ellie to purchase items for our emergency food pantry and fridge via their community grant. The Elks remain very busy as they coordinate the student dictionary program, provide outreach for the homeless, as well as great opportunities for kids – including an essay contest, scholarships for students, in addition to honoring community members. Thank you Elks!

Members of MPACT, our collaboration with the Marshalltown Police department, recently attended the National Co-Responder Conference (CorCon) in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Wendy Ringgenberg, along with members of our team, shared our findings regarding the year-long assessment and analysis of our co-responder program. Several co-responding teams from all over the United States were in attendance to learn how MPACT functions, interacts with public safety personnel, collects data, and furthers our effort to continue best practices to serve Marshalltown. This year's CorCon brought together over 1200 attendees from 45 states.

The year-long evaluation of MPACT has yielded some amazing results that could help create and support other co-responder programs across the state. We are proud to lead with innovation and collaboration!

Value was found in MPACT as stated in the Iowa Department of Management Division of Data, Planning and Improvement evaluation report, which was finished last week. Written by data analysts Wendy Ringgenberg and Cheryl Yates and Research Coordinator Melinda Mattingly, they collected data about MPACT....

We anticipate our front sidewalk will be closed over the next day or two as crews continue with the Center Street reconstruction project. To access our building, until a gravel path is established, please walk around the pickleball court into the ally to access our rear entrance. Look for signs to guide you into the building. We apologize for this temporary inconvenience.
