Job description:
As a dispensing optician you will be responsible for recommending the most recent and beneficial lens designs, materials and treatments based on that patient's lifestyle, needs and prescription. Also, helping the patient select a frame that compliments their face shape and makes them feel bold, comfortable, fresh or the same -- whatever they are looking to accomplish. You are a style consultant, which is really fun!
You will also be responsible for sending these orders to labs and submitting claims to insurance. At the end of the month you will be involved in filing invoices, statements and entering payments. Once these jobs arrive you will verify the prescription, measurements, materials and treatments to ANSI standards and our own high level of quality. We have a tracer and edger and do many jobs in house so you will also be finishing jobs as well. You will also be involved in frame inventory entry, management and selection.
