Together We Care: Recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Care Initiatives
Knowing the signs can help save lives. Some symptoms to watch for include:
✔️ A new lump in the breast or underarm
✔️ Changes in breast size, shape, or appearance
✔️ Unexplained pain in the breast or ni**le
✔️ Skin changes such as dimpling, redness, or thickening
✔️ Ni**le discharge other than breast milk
If you notice any of these changes, talk with your healthcare provider right away. Early detection is key to successful treatment.

Had a fantastic time taking residents to Sunrise Cafe for some mouthwatering food and joyful moments! 🍽️😊 The outing was filled with laughter, good conversation, and wonderful companions who made the experience even more special. Sharing delicious meals with great friends is truly the best! There's nothing quite like enjoying a hearty breakfast or lunch surrounded by those who bring joy to our lives. From the first bite of their famous pancakes to the last sip of coffee, every moment was filled with happiness and community spirit. Looking forward to our next adventure together!

Southridge Specialty Care has been part of the Marshalltown community for decades. In 2001, we moved into a beautiful new center on the south side of the city.
We are proud of Southridge’s family – and that means so much to our residents. When their family members cannot be here, they are a part of “our family.” We understand the importance of creating and maintaining an atmosphere where people feel loved, secure and well-cared for. Southridge has an extensive variety of superior rehabilitation services. Special efforts are made to provide an intimate setting for your therapy needs. Our staff consists of trained, experienced licensed physical, occupational and speech therapists. All therapies are also offered to the public on an outpatient basis.
Southridge was chosen as the “Best of the Best” nursing homes in the Marshalltown area. A special effort is made to ensure a quiet, comfortable living environment. Our staff provides professional care to every resident. Home-cooked meals are served and daily activities are provided for the residents’ emotional and physical well-being.
