The Oaks Nursing and Personal Care Home We are a 60 bed facility, family owned and operated since 1956. We are just 11 miles from Ft.

Valley, 16 miles from Perry, 3 miles from Marshallville, 14 miles from Reynolds, & 10 miles from Montezuma. The skilled facility provides twenty-four hour comprehensive nursing care under the supervision of a licensed physician. Licensed nurses direct the dedicated staff in providing individual care to each resident in order to enhance their quality of life. Years of experience in long-term health care provide The Oaks staff with the ability to meet the unique needs of each individual resident.

She may not love the spotlight, but today we’re shining it anyway on Tonya, our Administrative Assistant and Office Manager!

If you’ve ever needed help with a resident account, getting Mama on the beauty shop list, or figuring out the schedule… you’ve likely talked to Tonya. She wears more hats than we can count, and she somehow manages it all. To know her is to love her, and we are so grateful for everything she does behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly at The Oaks.

Did you know that this week is National Volunteer Appreciation Week? We have so many AMAZING volunteers who spend their precious time with us! Today, we had Exploring Art Class with Dianne Walker. This is always a fun time and we are always amazed at how our pieces turn out. Thank you, Dianne, for not only the time you spend with us but also the time you dedicate to prepare our art projects each month! We appreciate you!

What a wonderful day spent enjoying one of our favorite traditions! ⛳️
Our residents had such a great time at the 2026 Master’s Golf Tournament, graciously hosted by Montezuma Methodist Church. A heartfelt thank you to Connie and John Haugabook for the time, effort, and care that you put into this tournament each year, making it such a success! A BIG congratulations to our 2026 Master’s Champion, Mr. Potts, who proudly took home the green jacket!
We are so grateful for the continued support from our amazing community! It makes moments like these possible. This one truly is a tradition unlike any other!

How do you say thank you to someone who has devoted over 30 years of service to our facility? To know Melinda is to love her. She is kind, compassionate, caring, soft spoken, gentle, encouraging, loyal, dependable, funny.. we could keep going. She is a true caregiver with such a kind heart. Today, we sent her on her way to go take care of her family! Although it is so hard to see her go, we are extremely grateful for our time with her over these years. Today, many of us shared stories, thoughts, & feelings about Melinda. It is evident that she made a huge impact! We love you, Melinda! You’ll always be part of our Oaks family! We enjoyed celebrating her today and of course, we celebrated with her favorite - Troy’s!
