Reflecting on my weekend in NYC with a grateful heart. 🥰

I spent the weekend with dear friends enjoying delicious food, great conversation, a trip to MOMA (my first time ☺️) and a workshop & kirtan concert with Krishna Das, Nina Rao and incredible musicians.

As many of you probably know, in offering healing, it’s important to protect one’s energy. I think this is probably true for all professions and in life, in general. 💫

One of my practices is to keep a bowl of salt water under my massage table. Along the way, one of my teachers recommended this practice and I’ve been doing this ever since. 🧂

Today’s a refresh day and just thought I’d share.

When I’m not providing massage or bodywork to folks, I’m working on our 1960s fixer upper.

This is the last of the wall stencil. 🎉 Along with wall paper and s**g carpet, wall stencils were pretty popular in this house. 😆

After much thought and consideration, the time has come for me to make some pricing adjustments for Earth & Soul.

After almost four years in business and with the rising costs of running a business, it’s time.

I take pride in keeping my services accessible while offering high-quality care to my clients. I see massage and bodywork as a maintenance for our body and nervous system rather than something we do for a special occasion.

As of October 1, my pricing will shift.

I look forward to continuing to share my work with you. 💜💚

Celebrating 150 days without alcohol today! 🎉

Alcohol slowly crept into my life and after some time became a daily habit for years. I never thought there was a concern until I tried to stop.

The peak of my drinking was during my time as a public high school teacher and athletic trainer. The demands and stressors of work grew and grew, year after year, and my nightly wine habit became my coping strategy. Little did I know it was only adding fuel to my stress and anxiety.

For the past 7 years I’ve been on a healing journey and working to address the “why” of this habit and the hold it had on me. As someone who has had a lifelong career in caring for others, I’m so grateful that I can finally walk the walk and stand behind what I often recommend to others; greatly reduce or eliminate alcohol from your life.

I’m grateful to have reached this milestone on my healing journey and feel a huge difference in my overall well-being and my ability to continue to do that work I love to do. 💜💚

As many of you have heard me mention, yoga nidra is a powerful, restful meditation practice. Although yoga nidra means “yogic sleep” it doesn’t have to happen at nighttime. 😴
