Kelley Supply, Inc. of Abbotsford dropped off a $10,000 check last Wednesday as a part of their No-Shave October & November campaign. They’re raising money for cancer research at Marshfield Clinic, and brought in $4,000 more than last year! They’re looking forward to making next year even bigger and better.

🎁Year-end giving guide🎁

Whether you want to help brave people fight cancer, support local sick and injured kids, assist families in need or invest in innovative research, there are many ways to make a tax deductible gift to advance local health care this holiday season. 100% of your donations to Marshfield Clinic Foundation will stay local to enrich lives for the families we serve. As you consider your year-end donations, here are some deadlines to be aware of:

Gifts by mail
Gifts can be mailed to MCHS Foundation, 1000 N Oak Ave, Marshfield, WI 54449.
• Gifts of cash or check must be postmarked by Wednesday, December 31. Please check with your local post office to determine holiday hours.
• Credit card gifts must be received and processed by Wednesday, December 31. Please allow adequate mailing time.
• Gifts made using IRA checks must be received and processed by Wednesday, December 31. Please allow adequate mailing time.

Gifts online or by phone
• Online credit card gifts may be made until 11:59 pm Central Standard Time on Wednesday, December 31, at this link.
• Credit card gifts via telephone may be made by calling 1-800-858-5220 or 715-387-9249 prior to 4:00 pm on Wednesday, December 31.

Gifts made in person
Cash or checks may be dropped off at our office by 12:00 pm on Wednesday, December 31 to meet year-end deadlines. Our office will be closed on the afternoon of December 24 and all day December 25.

Stock gifts & ACH transfers
• Stock gifts must be initiated by Wednesday, December 24, and must be received in our bank account by Wednesday, December 31, to receive a tax deduction for 2025.

Cruise for a Cause just donated $175,750 to support breast cancer and cancer research, pushing their incredible lifetime impact to more than $1.5 MILLION raised!

Founded by Dan Neve and his wife Linda, Cruise for a Cause began during Linda’s own breast cancer journey and has grown into a nationwide movement. Traveling the country in a Shelby Mustang to raise hope, awareness and funding for cancer research at Marshfield Clinic Research Institute.

From Fall Ford Fest to car shows and events across the country, Dan's passion is fueling research that’s happening in our backyard and helping patients everywhere.

Horseshoe Tournament Hits the Mark for Cancer Care Fund!

What began as a simple idea from an Eagle River resident has grown into a community-driven fundraiser uniting athletes and volunteers from across Wisconsin.

Two years ago, Susie Erickson of Eagle River approached the Little Bull Falls Horseshoe Club (LBFHC) of Mosinee with a heartfelt request: host a horseshoe tournament to raise money for cancer patients. The proceeds would benefit the Cancer Care Fund, a program that provides financial assistance to individuals battling any type of cancer, helping cover essential needs not covered by insurance.

In August, the LBFHC partnered with the Mosinee Area Chamber of Commerce (MACOC) to host a two-day event at Crystal Pines – Matthiae Fields in Knowlton. Alongside the horseshoe tournament, the Chamber organized a 5K run, creating a weekend of community engagement and charity. Volunteers and donors from across the state contributed raffle prizes, door prizes, and monetary support to help make the event a success.

“As tournament director, I can say firsthand that it was both enjoyable and deeply rewarding,” said organizer Kent, of the Little Bull Falls Horseshoe Club. “Cancer has touched all of our lives in some way, and this was a meaningful opportunity to give back while doing something we love.”

Plans are already underway for next year’s event, scheduled for August 22–23, 2026, again at Crystal Pines – Matthiae Fields. The fundraiser is set to expand, adding new competitions including co****le, volleyball, and pickleball, alongside the traditional horseshoe tournament and 5K run.
