Over 18 years ago, Rich Seubert, a Wisconsin native and retired New York Giants Super Bowl champion, began planning Rich Seubert’s Celebrity Trap Shoot with his family. Since then, more than $2 million has been raised to support research and patient care initiatives at Sanford Health Marshfield Clinic.

Support our littlest patients; join us for Rich Seubert’s Celebrity Trap Shoot at Eau Claire Rod and Gun Club on Saturday, April 18. Sponsor a team of five shooters, register as an individual shooter, or join as a spectator by visiting marshfield.sanfordhealthfoundation.org/trapshoot.

Dr. Fagbemi was recently awarded his 19th and 20th Shining Stars; Dawn, a certified medical assistant, received her first; the Marshfield oncology infusion team received their third; and the Marshfield oncology department received their 18th!

Please read the heartfelt stories below and join us in congratulating our staff. This is a remarkable achievement!❤

Story One: “It was our family member’s wish upon her departure from this world that a memorial donation be made in her name to Marshfield Clinic Shining Star Program, honoring Dr. Fagbemi and team. At this time, our family would like to give Dr. Fagbemi and team our heartfelt thanks for all the great care and compassion you showed our family member. She always spoke so highly of everyone she had contact with. She would often say, “I think I even surprised Dr. Fagbemi at this appointment,” with all her strength and willpower in doing over and above what was needed to fight this horrible disease. She never gave up!!! Dr. Fagbemi was a great support as well as a friend for many years to our family member. Again, thank you, Dr. Fagbemi and the entire team.”

Story Two: “I have been coming to the oncology department for quite some time now. I received many chemotherapy treatments. I met so many great employees. Each one had a very good attitude every single day. They were all very joyful to be around and made me feel better about the reason I had to be there. I felt they all went above and beyond to get me through the treatments.
They are all doing a great job, so I would like them all to be recognized. Please include Dr. Fagbemi, Dawn, and all the infusion nurses. They are all amazing people.”

Recently, one of our patients honored our entire Marshfield Radiation Oncology team by recognizing them all as Shining Stars! Their words say it all:

“I have been coming to the radiation department for quite some time now. I received a total of 38 treatments. I met so many great employees. Each one had a very good attitude every single day. They were all very joyful to be around, which made me feel better about the reason I had to be there. I felt they all went above and beyond to get me through the treatments. They are all doing a great job, and I would like them all to be recognized. Please include Dr. Bauer. He is amazing!”

✨ Congratulations to the Marshfield Radiation Oncology team on their 10th Shining Star, and to Dr. Bauer on his seventh! You continue to make an incredible difference for our patients every day.

On February 5, 188 attendees and 15 sponsors joined together for 17th Duel It Fore the Kids to support the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Marshfield Children's Hospital. Dave and Ted of Deuces Wild! Dueling Pianos put on a fantastic show engaging attendees in song requests, sing-a-longs and on-stage dancing. Throughout the night, supporters in the crowd put their money where their dance-moves are and raised $15,614 through song requests! Lifetime supporter Nasonville Dairy matched $10,000 in donations bringing this year’s total to nearly $30,000. Also on the main stage this year was 2026 Local Champion, Lyla and her family. Lyla arrived in the world far earlier than expected. Born at just 23 weeks and 6 days, weighing only 1 pound, 3.8 ounces, she spent her first 122 days in the NICU at Marshfield Children’s Hospital. During those months, Lyla grew stronger every day—developing her lungs, learning to eat, and gaining the strength she needed to come home. With the support of compassionate caregivers and advanced technology that kept her family connected, Lyla overcame incredible odds. Today, Lyla is a healthy, happy girl who loves to create, play, and learn.

Earlier this year, our very own Mary Beth Knoeck set out on a new adventure—retirement. Prior to her departure, she was presented with her second Shining Star—a small token of gratitude for the 10 years she dedicated to MCHS Foundation. Please join us in wishing Mary Beth well in retirement and thanking her for the impact she has made.

“Mary Beth is the epitome of a team member. She is the person you call when you need help, when you need reassurance—or when you simply need a hug. She would give you the shirt off her back without hesitation, greet you with warmth, and, in the right place, at the right time, gladly share a beer or a celebratory shot. That’s MB.

But what truly sets MB apart is her heart. It is the very best thing about her—and it is something that can never be replaced. For nearly ten years, I have had the absolute joy of working alongside her, and I can honestly say I’ve enjoyed every single minute.

And Mary Beth has been that person for everyone—our donors, third-party fundraisers, Miracle Families, colleagues, and friends. Anyone who has met her feels it instantly. And lately, as people hear that she’s retiring, I’ve heard it again and again: there is truly no one like Mary Beth.

How lucky I have been. How lucky we have been—to work alongside her, to learn from her, to laugh with her, and to share so many meaningful moments and so much fun along the way.

Mary Beth, thank you for everything you have given to this organization and to all of us. We love you, we will miss you, we will never replace you—and we will never try to balance beers and wine glasses on our heads without you!”

We are so grateful for the incredible team at Marshfield Children’s who helped Trinity get back to being a kid again. Her journey from injury to recovery is a powerful reminder of why we do what we do!

When Trinity Gober fractured her shinbone, pediatric orthopedics and child life specialists provided the care she needed right away.
