Many people enjoy celebrating the winter holidays, but some people are more likely to drink heavily during holidays than other times of the year. Alcohol can have a significant impact on a driver’s focus and ability to maintain control behind the wheel. On average, someone is injured or killed in an impaired driving crash every two hours in Wisconsin. In 2023, there were over 7,700 impaired driving crashes that claimed the lives of 186 people on Wisconsin roads.
