National Vet Tech Appreciation Week is wrapping up! A week to recognize these professionals and their vital role in animal care. SRV wants to take a moment to thank our dedicated Vet Techs and all their hard work 💜 SRV also takes a moment this week to appreciate our whole team ❤️

We’ve showered our staff with fun personalized gift baskets and locally sourced delicious treats and savory snacks. Kudos to all of you! It takes a team to do this work.

And this little cutie made our day super special today! Be sure to bring your pet in costume at your next visit to SRV this month!

Cancer has impacted almost everyone. Vets at CSU's Animal Cancer Center innovate and approach finding a cure for all species.

What if the cure for human cancer is sitting beside us? 🐶❤️

For nearly 40 years, the Flint Animal Cancer Center has been at the forefront of comparative oncology – the study of naturally occurring cancers in dogs to accelerate groundbreaking new diagnostics and treatments for all species.

Dogs are an excellent model to study cancer. They share 85% of our genetic makeup, and they share much of our environment, food, and stressors. They also develop similar cancers at similar rates. It's more cost-effective and faster to study novel treatments in our canine companions.

Dogs are man's best friend in more ways than one.
