Originally from the Marshfield, Wisconsin area, Terry Howard and his wife, Carol, have a combined 70 years of health-care management experience, working throughout the United States with seniors, mentally challenged, and behaviorally challenged individuals in various hospitals, skilled-care homes, and assisted living communities. At that time, Carol's parents, Muriel and Wendell Brown owned and op

erated an eight-bed CBRF mental-health facility in Arpin, Wisconsin. As Wendell and Muriel were ready to retire, they turned operations of the community over to Carol and Terry. With Terry and Carol's passion for providing top-quality care to the mentally and behaviorally challenged, that small eight-bed CBRF company grew into a state-wide mental- and behavioral-health management company called Browns Living. As Browns Living grew, Carol and Terry saw the great need in Wisconsin for better assisted living communities for seniors. So in 2009, they began a quest to provide seniors with better options for care. Since that time, Browns Living has developed senior and memory care facilities in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Colorado. Today, Browns Living is one of the premier companies in the Midwest for assisted living development, management, and training. While the company grows, it has never lost its focus on creating premier, homelike environments for residents to enjoy and for providing superior services and care to those who need it most. Born and raised in Wisconsin, Terry and Carol Howard have spent their entire lives caring for others, working throughout the United States with various hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living operations. They have developed a reputation for creating premier, home-like environments and for providing superior services and care to the communities they serve. Terry is the third member of a four-generation family of assisted living specialists. His father Harold and grandfather Norris owned and operated many nursing homes throughout the Midwest during their lengthy careers in health care. After working more than a decade in marketing and real estate, Terry’s son Christopher joined the family business in 2010.
