Someone to do it with. These are the ingredients for LifeLong Living. And at LiveOak, we're serving individuals with cognitive disabilities and supporting them to achieve the full life they deserve. LiveOak Living Community was purposefully designed to be a safe and supportive environment for adults with cognitive disabilities. We wanted to create a community where people could thrive, not just survive. A place where people feel respected, connected and valued. At LiveOak, we:

Meet Lauren 🌟 

Lauren is one of our thirteen 2025 Fall Interns at LiveOak Living Community. She is a senior Psychology major at Texas State University and is passionate about building genuine connections with our residents. Lauren looks forward to learning from the rich, lived experiences of individuals with diverse mental disabilities and carrying those lessons into her future career in mental health.

Emily is a student at Texas State University graduating at the end of the fall 2025 semester with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. In the future, she hopes to become a mental health counselor specializing in helping the Latinx community and/or children with developmental disabilities.

Emily looks forward to her time at LiveOak in which she hopes to meet individuals with developmental disabilities and learn about their life goals and dreams.
