Been a long time since I've done an update!
2023 started with the Continental Divide Trail hike made it 728 miles. No small thing. Walked through miles of cow p**p dust in the desert, climbed my highest peak to date, (Mt. Taylor 11,305 ft) through rain, hail and snow, came across a rattlesnake the hard way, crossed dangerous waters 40 something times, sat in natural hotsprings, survived 17 blisters, carried 30 pounds on my back, walked and walked and walked, got woken up by a mountain lion stepping on the plastic under my tent right by my head, cried, asked myself everyday for 3 weeks what the hell was I doing out there, post holed in the snow, drank swamp water, drank out of cow water troughs, got stabbed by cactus but in the end when it was very clear getting covid was taking me off the trail I cried so hard for 3 days. It was the hardest toughest thing I've done and yet I was going to miss every day of the adventure I wasn't going to get to finish. I was going to miss the awesome sunsets, sunrises the cold rivers that cooled my aching feet, the beauty of the desert flowers, the excitement of what adventure would unfold each day, the wild animals, the interesting people I'd met and would not see again. I was going to miss most the healing that being out in nature gives the body mind and soul.
Fast forward 2024 and I'm finally starting to feel human again after a very long recovery from covid. Yes, if you are wondering, I did Reiki!
I did it on the trail and during my recovery. I actually do Reiki every night when I go to bed. I do 15 minutes and ask that it continues working while I'm sleeping.
I hope all of you continue to do Reiki even if it's only when needed.
Blessings for 2024
