Planting with Purpose: A Family Garden Experience

Join us at Pathways for Inclusion Family Resource Center on June 20th from 4:30–5:30 PM for a hands-on family activity designed to celebrate creativity, growth, and connection!

Families will choose from a variety of colorful flowers and personalize their own planter by painting and decorating a flower pot together. Once the masterpiece is complete, children—alongside their parents or caregivers—will plant their flower to take home and continue caring for it as it grows.

This engaging, sensory-friendly experience encourages creativity, fine motor development, and meaningful family bonding, while also giving each child a living reminder of growth and nurturing they can watch bloom over time.

All materials will be provided. Just bring your creativity and get ready to get a little messy!

In our Monday Night Social Skills Group, our learners became little scientists and gardeners as we created our own “greenhouses” and made predictions about what will happen as our seeds begin to grow! 🌱🌼

This hands-on activity focused on so much more than planting seeds. Through the experience, our group practiced important social and communication skills including:

🌿 Taking turns
🌿 Sharing ideas and predictions
🌿 Answering questions in a group setting
🌿 Listening to peers
🌿 Cooperative participation
🌿 Building confidence when speaking
🌿 Patience and responsibility while caring for something over time

The kids loved sharing what they were most excited for and learning that growth takes time, care, and teamwork — just like friendships and social skills do. 💚

We cannot wait to watch our little greenhouses grow over the next few weeks! 🌱✨

🎓 Tonight, we celebrated a very special milestone at KBS!

One of our amazing clients graduated from services, and we could not be more proud of the hard work, growth, determination, and progress that led to this moment. 💙

Graduation days are emotional for our team because they represent so much more than completing a program — they represent confidence gained, goals achieved, independence built, and a future full of possibilities.

To our graduate and family: thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. Watching growth happen step by step is why we do what we do, and tonight was a beautiful reminder of that.
