🌿 Welcome to the Relaxation Rainforest! 🌿

This week in our Social Skills Group, we are taking a journey into the “Relaxation Rainforest,” where we are focusing
on the importance of self-care, reflection, and learning to grow through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy💚🌧️

Our rainforest-themed space became the perfect environment for:
✨ Mindful movement and calming exercises
✨ Practicing acceptance of emotions and thoughts
✨ Identifying personal values and learning how to take action toward them
✨ Connecting with others while honoring ourselves

From yoga-inspired stretching to meaningful discussions, our explorers learned that true strength often starts with self-kindness, flexibility, and choosing what matters most.

Another amazing 🤩 theme and decor by our talented Social Skills team!

🍉🍍 Social Skills Spotlight: Picnic Theme! 🧺🌞

This week at Kendall Behavioral Solutions, our social skills group dove into conversation starters — all while enjoying a fun picnic-themed setting! 🗣️✨

With checkered tablecloths, fruit garlands, and a basket full of pretend food, our space transformed into a friendly picnic zone where kids practiced how to:
✅ Ask open-ended questions
✅ Take turns speaking
✅ Show interest in others
✅ Keep conversations going

Activities were hands-on, interactive, and filled with laughter and learning! 🍓🥪🍋

At KBS, we believe learning social skills should be meaningful and memorable. Stay tuned for next week’s theme!

This team works so hard each week to carefully plan themes, activities and skills, and knock it out of the park! 💬🌈

🚗💪 First load on the move!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we just delivered our first packed carload of donations to support the Wheeling flood victims. From bottled water and cleaning supplies to clothing and essentials—every item makes a difference. 💙

We’re not done yet! Donations are still being accepted as we continue to help those affected rebuild and recover. Thank you for standing with us and showing what true community looks like!
