Thank you Justin Franich for this interview. I listened to all of it.
You asked really good questions that lead to some great information about all the wonderful things this pastor and his ministry are doing.
I look forward to learning more.
I couldn’t help think of the scripture below while listening to a lot of of this interview, especially the beginning. Just as God did not look at the outside appearance, we should do the same.

“For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”
1 Samuel 16:7

I love these devotionals.
They are so well thought out and written. I believe they are Holy Spirit inspired.

Thank you Pam for writing this book. I am sure it has helped so many

The chords of death…”I don’t want to live this way, but I don’t know any other way to live.”

The overwhelming hopelessness…”There is no way out.”

The cry for help…”Save me. Free me.”

When we cry to him....

He will reach down and take hold of us.

He will rescue...

And he will set us in a spacious place.

His promises never change. Hold on, this pain will end.

March 20, 2026 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Psalm 18:3-4,6,16-17,19 NIV

[3] I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies[4] The cords of death entangled me; the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me[6] In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears[16] He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters[17] He rescued me from my powerful enemy....19] He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.

Father God, we call on you who is worthy of praise today! Lord, we come before you on behalf of [our loved one] and ask that you save [him/her] from the enemy of the oppression that binds [him/her]. The chords of death entangle [our loved one]; the flood of destruction overwhelms [him/her]. Lord, we ask that in [our loved one's] distress [he/she] would call out to you, that [he/she] would cry to you Abba Father for help! We pray you would hear [our loved one's] voice; that [his/her] cry would come to you. And that you would reach down from on high and take hold of [our loved one], that you would draw [him/her] out of deep waters and firmly plant [him/her] on solid ground. Bring [our loved one] into a spacious place, a place of peace, because we know that you delight in [our loved one]. We trust in You today and believe in your perfect plan for [our loved one] today. In Jesus precious name we pray. Amen!

I have already seen this film three times and it is very very good, so if you’re in the Richmond area or even if you don’t mind driving a bit, it would be well worth your time.
I wouldn’t even mind going again just to be with the Recovery community, except I will be packing for a month long vacation.
I trust this will be a very successful event, and even more awareness will be raised about addiction and Recovery, but what makes this event different is because it really focuses on families.
Great job all of you all that made this film happen

Just one week until our special guests arrive for an evening of community, connection and recovery. In January of 2024 I found myself homeless, alone, hungry, scared and desperately wanted to change my life. My buddy Jason always told me if and when I was ready to get help, I could reach out to him. He kept his word and got me into Harmony Ridge.
The staff helped change the course of my life and laid the ground work for my sobriety.
Di**le gave me a bed at Recovery Point where I would spend the next 13 months.

Today I have a job, a place to call my own. Bill and rent are paid on time and food in the refrigerator. Most importantly I love who I am today and I love life.
All of this because I made the decision to finally seek help. I owe it all to my higher power, Harmony Ridge and Recovery Point.

Our Story

Martinsburg Renew is a grassroots ministry focused on building up the community by giving everyone opportunities for enrichment. Our hopes are to build a giant network that will make sure that everyone who needs or wants an opportunity for enrichment (be it recreational activity, social opportunity, employment, or addictions counseling) can be directed to the appropriate agency/organization. Where certain initiatives and programs don't exist, we plan on providing them. Our driving vision is to establish a Martinsburg Interwoven Community Center. The center will incorporate three facets: a business canter, a social center, and an addictions treatment center. This will offer economic development, community development, and recovery. The Interwoven Mills site is over seven acres and offers a campus environment that will be able to house all of these initiatives while keeping them separate when necessary. The three facets are described as follows: 1) A business center that will focus on bringing attention to Downtown Martinsburg, revitalizing the economy from the center out. It will also give small, local businesses the opportunity to present their services and products risk-free. 2) A social center that will provide activities and information to people of all ages. The Martinsburg Social Center will provide teens and young adults with recreational activities for free. It will coordinate community organizations so that people can get information and all the help available to them. 3) A substance abuse treatment center. The Interwoven Life Treatment Center will focus on those gripped with addiction in our community. It will be a year-long, faith-based, residential program. Based on numerous successful models, it will not only try to break people free of addiction, but help them shape themselves into productive citizens who have earned the right to be readmitted into society.

In the meantime, we hope to connect with other community organizations and work with them as they continue to impact our communities, organizations such as HART, Mountaineer Behavior Health, and local churches. As of September of 2018, we have been on a hiatus as we are continuing to pray to seek God’s guidance as to our place in the community and our direction with the ministry. Founder: Andrew J. García
