Berkeley Medical Center and Jefferson Medical Center are offering a new Chronic Disease Self-Management Program workshop in Martinsburg.
Living Well Chronic Disease Self-Management Program is a six-session interactive workshop designed to help individuals coping with one or more chronic diseases learn to take day-to-day responsibility for their care, increase the skills necessary to manage their disease and work effectively with their health care professional.
This chronic disease self-management program is being offered in-person beginning March 11. The workshop will be held each Tuesday from 5 โ 7:30 p.m. through April 15 in the second floor conference room (Suite 2400) of the Dorothy McCormack Center on the Berkeley Medical Center campus.
Living Well is free and open to those dealing with chronic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, anxiety, depression, chronic pain. Everyone can benefit from learning the skills to coordinate all the activities needed to manage their health, as well as help them maintain a full and active life. Caregivers are also encouraged to attend.
