Khyrra Michelle Martin, 19, of Ridgeway, transitioned on Friday, September 6, 2024. She was born July 8, 2005, in Franklin County, Virginia, to Buford Eugene Price and Latorya Martin Ferguson.

Khyrra was enrolled at Patrick and Henry Community College and was in the process of transferring to Virginia State University pursing a degree in psychology. She was involved in a Christian youth program “Young Life”, and worked at Cook Out for two years. She also enjoyed traveling, coloring her hair, and spending time with her family. She attended the House of Purpose where she worshipped and loved Christ.

In addition to her parents, Khyrra is survived by her sisters, Kaylen J. Price and Keymia A. Hayden; brothers, Kerry M. Scales, Jr., Akira D. Price, Khorey M. Scales, Devontea Hairston, Terrell S. Price, Antonio J. Price, Robert Matthias Kent, and Romeir E. Kent; fathers, Michael Ferguson and Robert Demetrrius Kent; and her friend, Jason Bethea.

Services will be Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 12:00 PM at the Carver Assembly Building. The visitation will be thirty minutes prior to the service. The burial will follow at Carver Memorial Burial Park. There will be a floating visitation Friday, September 13, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.

You will have a chance to win one of these awesome custom awards! Awards are given for top 3 overall male and female finishers and top 2 male and female in each five year age group.

PLEASE !!! If you plan to observe the eclipse this Monday, DO NOT remove your ISO eclipse glasses at ANY time. Virginia is not along the path of totality. Therefore the sun will not be completely blocked and can damage your eyes!!!!! ( Also, do not drive in the ISO eclipse glasses. They are to be used while looking at the eclipse, not the road😂)
