My name is Sharmain, and I’m the founder of Rise & Restore Women’s Transitional Home.
But before I was a founder, I was a survivor.
I know what it feels like to be in a situation where you don’t feel safe… where you’re trying to find the strength to leave, but you don’t know where you’ll go, how you’ll start over, or who will help you.
And what I realized is—so many women face that same moment.
Not because they’re weak… but because they don’t have the support or resources they need to rebuild.
That’s where Rise & Restore was born.
I didn’t just want to create housing—I wanted to create a place where women could heal, rebuild their confidence, learn life skills, and truly start over.
A place where a woman doesn’t just survive her past… but rises from it.
Today, Rise & Restore is designed to serve women coming out of domestic violence, addiction recovery, and incarceration—providing safe housing, structure, and support so they can transition into independent, stable living.
Because I know what it means to need a second chance…
and I’ve made it my mission to help other women get one too.”
