The Marysville Tulalip Walking Club brings together people of all abilities to stay active, make friends, and enjoy the benefits of walking in a supportive and welcoming environment. Our members meet regularly to walk, share stories, and encourage each other toward healthier lifestyles. The club is open to everyone — whether you’re walking for fitness, fun, or friendship. We’re proud to create an inclusive space where community members can connect, celebrate achievements, and inspire one another.

From therapy dogs to smiling faces, our walks are filled with laughter, support, and the joy of moving together. Whether you walk fast, slow, or somewhere in between, you’ll find a place here.

Here are 7 tips for walking

🚶‍♂️ Weekly Walking Tips from the Marysville Tulalip Walking Club! 🌿

1. Stay Cool & Hydrated ☀️💧
Summer walks can heat up fast! Wear light, breathable clothes and bring a full water bottle. Aim to drink before, during, and after your walk.

2. Walk During Cooler Hours ⏰
Try early morning or late evening walks to avoid the midday heat. It’s easier on your body and more enjoyable too!

3. Watch Your Form 👟
Keep your shoulders relaxed, arms swinging naturally, and posture upright. This helps reduce fatigue and avoid injury.

4. Add Variety to Your Route 🌲
Mix it up! Try different paths, parks, or neighborhoods. It keeps things fun and can work different muscles.

5. Set a Mini Goal 🎯
Whether it’s walking 3 times this week, hitting 5,000 steps a day, or inviting a friend to join—goals keep us moving forward!

6. Wear Proper Shoes 👟
Good walking shoes = happy feet. Make sure your shoes offer arch support and are in good condition.

7. Stretch Before and After 🧘
A few minutes of stretching can warm you up and help prevent soreness later.
