The Union County Swimming Cougars showed up ready to swim at the State Swim Meet this weekend and represented well! πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ

The athletes, along with Coach Katie and Coach Riley, put in a very long day on Saturday in a hot, crowded natatorium and swam better than we could have hoped for!

Congratulations to Shalena who won gold πŸ₯‡ in the 25 meter backstroke and James who won goldπŸ₯‡ in the 25 meter freestyle! Paige won silver in the 25 meter backstroke!

Dakota was the lone distance swimmer to swim on Sunday and earned 5th place in the 100 meter freestyle in a very fast event. We can’t wait to see the growth from all the swimmers next season!

Way to go, Cougars! πŸ’œπŸ–€

The Union County Special Olympics basketball team brought home the GOLD today!

For the first time in program history, the Union County Cougars have won the Division 5 State Indoor Winter Games Basketball Tournament! πŸŽ‰πŸ”₯

In a thrilling championship matchup, the Cougars defeated the Williams County Sharks 34–33 in an absolute nail-biter! The game was packed with back-and-forth scoring, intense defense, incredible hustle, and heart from start to finish.

This team showed determination, teamwork, and true Cougar pride every second on that court. We could not be more proud of these amazing athletes and everything they’ve accomplished!

Way to go, Cougars!!!! πŸΎπŸ†
