Officer Findley of the Marysville Police Department and their police dog, Mercy, visited our campus this week. Our residents always look forward to Mercy's visits, and she is amazingly gentle with everyone. It's clear Mercy loves visiting our residents almost as much as they love her.

Recently, our Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living residents showcased their artistic talents and patriotic spirit in a lively craft session. The air was filled with cheer and camaraderie as residents meticulously worked on their projects, transforming simple popsicle sticks and vibrant paints into charming miniature rockets. The finished rockets are now proudly displayed throughout our facilities, serving as a colorful testament to their participation and the joyful spirit of the occasion.

Residents celebrated the 4th of July yesterday with an indoor picnic. Our Dietary Supervisor, Jeremee, prepared wonderful meat, cheese, and fruit trays, along with a variety of desserts. We enjoyed music, karaoke, and great conversation about our nation.

This week we celebrated National Strawberry Parfait Day, bringing a delightful wave of sweetness and cheer across our campus. To mark this joyous occasion, we orchestrated a charming parfait cart, which journeyed through our community, delivering refreshing and delicious strawberry parfaits directly to our beloved residents. The smiles and appreciative comments we received were a testament to the simple pleasure this sweet treat brought, fostering a wonderful sense of community and celebration among us all.

This week, the Assisted Living craft room has been a hub of activity. Residents meet daily after lunch to engage in diverse projects, including canvas painting and bead crafts. They appreciate both the creative expression and the opportunity to socialize while crafting. Many of their creations are proudly displayed on the craft room walls.

The duo entertained with a selection of songs, including hits from the 1940s and tunes from The Sound of Music. The live music was a resounding success, thrilling residents who thoroughly enjoyed the show.
