We are happy to introduce a change in dress code here at Monarch. We are providing color coded uniforms by department for our employees. We are excited about this change because it will provide for the following for our residents:
Easy Identification & Reduced Anxiety: Residents, especially those with cognitive decline, can easily recognize caregivers by color rather than faces, reducing confusion and anxiety.
Faster, More Efficient Care: Residents know exactly who to call for specific needs, improving communication and reducing wait times for assistance.
Increased Sense of Security & Trust: Seeing professional, consistent colors helps build trust and creates a more orderly, secure environment.
Better Infection Control: Distinguishing between departments (e.g., laundry, clinical, food service) helps reduce the spread of infection, protecting vulnerable residents.
Improved Rapport & Communication: Specific, familiar colors can make residents feel more relaxed and open, which aids in communication and care.
Professionalism & Reassurance: Uniform colors can influence the mood of the environment, making it feel both professional and welcoming.
These are the colors by department: Housekeeping and dietary will be in Black tops, STNA’s will be in Royal Blue tops, as seen here with some of our staff from the Newton Falls campus. Navy Blue will be for the nursing department in skilled nursing, LPN’s in Assisted Living will be in a Green top. Wine tops will be the activity department, assisted living aides will be in Teal Blue tops, Med Techs will be in Ceil Blue tops, and therapy in Gray tops. Our maintenance department will be in Blue tops, and our construction department and landscapers will be in Green tops.
