This week residents in Skilled Nursing had a fun craft session making little food trucks. The mini food trucks were made using popsicle sticks, glue and paint. The backs of the trucks were filled with seasonal items like berries, pine cones and other fall themed items.

This is one of the many lively bingo sessions we host each week here in our Skilled Nursing unit. Our residents genuinely love the excitement and community spirit the game brings, which is why it remains a favorite on our activity calendar. Recognizing its popularity, we make sure to schedule and play bingo several times throughout the week, offering multiple opportunities for our residents to participate, socialize, and, of course, try their luck at shouting "BINGO!" These sessions are not just games; they are vital social gatherings that foster engagement and provide a fun, stimulating environment for everyone involved.

Pam was back this week with her popular Zumba class for our Skilled Nursing residents. Her dance fitness program, which blends Latin dance styles with aerobic exercise, consistently draws a good group every time she visits.

Skilled Nursing residents enjoyed a fun craft session this week, creating festive turkey decorations. They used construction paper for the turkey bodies and carefully cut out individual feathers. These adorable turkeys now bring a lovely seasonal touch to the residents' rooms.

This morning, our staff cook Jeremy prepared a special breakfast to honor our resident veterans. They enjoyed a delicious meal of bacon, eggs, toast, fruit, and beverages. Following breakfast, each veteran was recognized and presented with a certificate of appreciation for their service.

Yesterday, our campus was filled with the spirit of Halloween as we hosted a spooktacular party for our beloved residents! There were all kinds of festive treats like a skull cake, hot dog worms, cheese dip, deviled eggs, and a big veggie tray. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to socialize, share stories, and create lasting memories together. The positive energy and smiling faces were a testament to a truly memorable day for all who attended.

This week we hosted the Holland Games at our campus. The Holland Games are a series of competitions and games designed as a team building exercise and a fun way for our employees to have some fun. It also was a fun opportunity for our residents to cheer on their favorite employees. The games consisted of a pie eating contest, a basketball game, and archery game, a gold game, and a Wii Bowling tournament. Everyone had fun and the competition was fierce. Assisted Living residents embraced the autumn spirit yesterday during a fall-themed craft session. They painted wooden cut-outs of festive items, such as pumpkins and witches, which now bring a touch of seasonal cheer to their rooms and campus.
