Hospital week was full of great food, fun moments, and time spent appreciating the amazing people who make our hospital what it is.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this week happen, and thank you to our employees for your dedication, compassion, and hard work every single day.

We also want to thank Empty Cup, The Parlor, Ma & Pa’s Kettle Corn, and Minnie’s Kitchen for helping make this week extra special!

We had the pleasure of welcoming 65 kindergarten students from St. Gregory’s, Good Shepherd, and Marysville Elementary for a day of discovery and fun at the hospital!

The students rotated through hands on stations where they learned about different areas of healthcare:
Lab – They learned about blood, how lab machines work, and even visited the “stinky room.”
Radiology – They discovered how X-rays are taken and how items like pumpkins, Barbie dolls, and wiffle balls appear on an X-ray.
Surgery – They saw where patients get ready and what is done before going into the operating room. Students received their own surgical masks and surgery caps.
Outpatient – They practiced proper handwashing techniques and learned about the bacteria that live on our hands and why washing the right way is so important.
ER/Nursing – They learned how to listen to a heartbeat and explored how much sugar is in different foods and drinks.
Ambulance – The kids got an up close look at an ambulance and learned how emergency teams help patients get to the hospital safely.
Dietary – They wrapped up the day with some delicious snacks.

Thank you to each school for visiting and to all of our departments who helped make this day possible. It was such a fun event, and the kids learned so much about healthcare!

Today kicks off Nurses Week, and we’re celebrating our incredible nurses. This photo shows just some of the amazing team members from our clinic, hospital, and general surgery areas. I’m new to healthcare, and instead of being intimidated by billing, I decided to jump in with both feet. I started learning everything I could about these topics—and honestly, I needed it explained in a way I could understand. That’s how this video came to be. I wanted to create something simple and clear. My hope is that this helps explain how billing works, what your options are, and where to turn if you need help.
