Today was Elf Day! And staff did not disappoint with their elfin wear. From elf ears to crazy hats, Santa would be proud! As part of our Reindeer Games, staff could determine their "elf name" by using a cipher code. Laboratory staff wore matching elf shirts today with their "elf names" printed on the back. This was our last spirit day for the season. We hope you had as much fun following our posts as we had spreading Christmas cheer!

Don't forget to cast your vote on our Deck the Door post for your favorite door. The door photo with the most "Likes" will be crowned our People's Choice winner.

Calling all lumberjacks...it's Channel Your Flannel Day! It was a checkerboard full of color at CMH today. While sporting their best flannel or plaid, staff could pay to add a pair of jeans to their attire for our monthly Jeans Day Giving Project. This month's proceeds go to our Employees Helping Patients and Employees Helping Employees funds. Both of these are entirely funded by staff with monies used to assist patients in need (special circumstances mostly through the ER, such as a change of clothes if what they came to us wearing could not be worn home and no family/friend available to assist them) and employees in need (such as a coworker who is experiencing a crisis or hardship).

Our Christmas Spirit Days will end next week with Elf Day (can't wait to see those photos 😃). Keep submitting your "Likes" on our Deck the Doors post to vote for our People's Choice Winner!

If you've been at the hospital this month, you probably noticed a few doors have received a temporary facelift. Staff had so much fun last year decking their doors, we decided to have them show off their decorating skills again this year. Departments could temporarily decorate their doors for the holidays and YOU get to choose our "People's Choice" winner.

Vote on your favorite entry by clicking through the photos and "Like" the photo of your favorite door! Our winner will be the entry with the most likes!

Voting ends at Noon on New Year's Eve.

Happy Holidays from Whoville! Bright green & red abounded throughout the halls as CMH staff did their best Who impressions. We laughed, and we smiled, and we feasted on treats. The kitchen for lunch even served us roast beast! (ok, so it was roast turkey, but we've got a theme going here) And maybe if you pause in the halls you might hear, a faint "Fah Who Foraze" quietly sung with great cheer! Needless to say, we had fun with our Grinch Day. Stay tuned to see what our awesome staff do next!
