I have been out of the country for the last few weeks and am still out of town until the 4th of July. But I of course ended up stumbling into a metaphysical shop in a little German town. Once I was inside, a huge storm started which kept me there for 20 minutes…I took that as a sign. 😂

I found a beautiful acupressure and trigger point tool to bring home and use in sessions. ❤️ It is made of Ruby Fuchsite, and is the “ultimate heart stone.” It is said to eliminate negative energy and create balance and harmony. This tool will not only save my hands from over working, but will also incorporate some crystal healing.

It’s always fun to pick up new tools!

I completed my reiki 1 training today! I'm super excited to start offering energy work as a stand alone service, or interwined with bodywork sessions.

Energy is something I have always been in tune with, and have utilized in my practice a bit already. But, I am enjoying learning more about it and how to better harness it for more focused healing. 💆‍♀️

I do plan to continue up through the levels, and have my reiki 2 training already scheduled.

Some possible benefits of energy work are; improved sleep, reduced anxiety, reduced pain, increased energy, lower blood pressure, and ability to release emotionally stored trauma, to name a few.

The whole body is connected!

This is interesting.. 🤔

From birth, your tongue is actually connected to your toes through an intricate network of connective tissue known as fascia.

If your tongue is not resting correctly in your mouth due to mouth breathing, things can get out of alignment in your mouth and the rest of your body.
Tongue posture can lead to a foot imbalance and vice versa because the tongue guides all myofascial continuity structures that run from the inner arch of the foot up through the middle of the body to the tongue and jaw muscles.

When the tongue sits on top of the palate, it seals the oral cavity and holds the throat open like a tent. These muscles support the neck, keep your posture straight, help you breathe, and maintain your posture upright.
Your tongue also acts as a rudder and support system through a fascial line, and when the tongue is down, we breathe through our mouth, and the head falls forward due to lack of support, which leads to poor posture and increased energy expenditure.
