This is your reminder that golf is a sport and you should warm up accordingly 🏌
Many people show up to the first tee without a warm up and wonder why it takes them a few holes to find their swing and start hitting the ball well.
A great warm up does the following things:
1. Gets your joints into the positions needed for an efficient golf swing
2. Primes the muscles you need to hit the golf ball far
3. Improves motor control and body connection for a smoother swing
In a perfect world you should do a physical warm up specific to your individual swing and body needs before you get to the course. But in the real world that’s not always possible.
In this video, Coach Carly shows a quick warm up you can do at the course with your club. It may not be perfect, but it’s a whole lot better than hitting your first drive cold.
