This is your reminder that golf is a sport and you should warm up accordingly 🏌

Many people show up to the first tee without a warm up and wonder why it takes them a few holes to find their swing and start hitting the ball well.

A great warm up does the following things:
1. Gets your joints into the positions needed for an efficient golf swing
2. Primes the muscles you need to hit the golf ball far
3. Improves motor control and body connection for a smoother swing

In a perfect world you should do a physical warm up specific to your individual swing and body needs before you get to the course. But in the real world that’s not always possible.

In this video, Coach Carly shows a quick warm up you can do at the course with your club. It may not be perfect, but it’s a whole lot better than hitting your first drive cold.

Our BTY May Teams of the Month are the Hot Shots Volleyball 15s and 17s! 🏐

This offseason, groups from each team committed to BTY Athlete Performance training together. It’s been awesome to watch them grow stronger, faster, and more confident—and even better seeing those gains carry over onto the court.

Here is what they had to say about their experience training at BTY:

“Our favorite parts about training at BTY are doing it as a team, training with Carly, and gaining muscle.
Our girls have averaged 2 inch increase in their verticals after training once a week for 10 weeks. We’ve also seen less injuries and faster reaction times.
Their training goals are to jump higher and get faster for their volleyball club season.”

As a thanks for being our client of the month we donate $50 to the charity of the teams’ choice. They chose the Union County Humane Society.

Proud of the work these girls put in and excited to see what’s ahead for them! 💪
