📣 INSURANCE IN THE NEWS 📣

“Children’s Mercy has been notified that Sunflower Health Plan (Medicaid) intends to remove Children’s Mercy from its network effective May 31, 2026. We hope to resolve this matter promptly. Children’s Mercy remains in network with Sunflower at this time and our care and commitment to Sunflower members continues.”

If you have Sunflower insurance and receive care through Children’s Mercy, we will keep you updated on this contract issue.

I sometimes incorporate bibliotherapy in my childrens sessions, so having my office next-door to the public library is such a blessing. 📚

Christmas can hold many emotions all at once: joy, gratitude, grief, longing, hope, and everything in between. However today finds you, you are allowed to feel exactly what you feel.

We believe healing happens in spaces where people are seen, heard, and met with compassion. This season, we’re holding deep gratitude for our clients, our community, and the courage it takes to show up, especially during the holidays.

May you find moments of peace, connection, and gentleness with yourself, and if Christmas feels heavy, know you are not alone.

Our November Sterling Connection Brunch features guest speaker, Shelly Crome, licensed mental health therapist and owner of Wildflower Therapy Collective LLC. Shelly will share information on how to stay emotionally well as we age. Whether you're looking for strategies to cope with your own grief, loneliness, anxiety, or depression, or you want to learn how to support friends and family who may be struggling, we invite you to join us on November 5th.

I just want to take a moment to say thank you for all the kind words and encouragement after passing my licensure exam. Your support means so much! 💛

I’m thrilled to share that my schedule is already 60% full, and I’m continuing to grow! I HOPE to be paneled with Blue Cross Blue Shield this coming week and am currently in the process of joining panels with Aetna and United Healthcare.

I’m so thankful to this amazing community for the many referrals coming my way from healthcare facilities, community agencies, schools, daycares, and more across several counties.

I’ve also been invited to speak at a few local events, so stay tuned for exciting updates from Wildflower Therapy Collective in the coming weeks! 🌻
