The holidays bring joy, decorations, and gatherings — but they can also create unexpected safety risks, especially for older adults.

A few small precautions can help prevent falls and create a safer home environment:
Keep walkways clear of gifts, garlands, electrical cords, and decorations
Use flameless LED candles instead of real flame to avoid fire hazards
Make sure the holiday tree is stable and away from heat sources
Install grab bars in hallways and bathrooms for added support
Keep pathways and rooms well-lit, especially with nightlights

With a little planning, the holidays can be festive, cozy, and safe.

Our team recently enjoyed a festive visit to The Neighborhood at Tellico Village, where we set up a Christmas Hydration Station along with a cozy hot cocoa bar. From warm drinks to friendly conversations, it was a great way to connect and share a little seasonal cheer.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to spend time with seniors in our community and brighten the season, one cup at a time. 💛

We’re proud to highlight Dr. Eric Redmon, a highly respected physician who brings decades of experience, compassion, and leadership to Senior Care Partners.

Dr. Redmon previously served the Farragut community through his own practice, Redmon Family Practice, where he built strong patient relationships and earned a reputation for exceptional care. A graduate of Wake Forest University School of Medicine and the UT Medical Center Family Practice Residency, he has dedicated his career to excellence in family medicine.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Redmon has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, shaping the next generation of medical professionals. His long-standing service in emergency and ambulatory care across Tennessee further reflects his deep commitment to patient well-being.

Now at Senior Care Partners, Dr. Redmon continues his mission of providing compassionate, comprehensive care to seniors. His expertise and dedication strengthen our team and elevate the level of support we provide to our community.
