Like many healthcare systems across the country, Anderson Healthcare is being impacted by a national shortage of radiologists and radiology technologists. This ongoing workforce challenge has created widespread delays in radiology report turnaround times.
Please be advised that most Outpatient Radiology services (which include Maryville Imaging, Goshen Imaging, Anderson Hospital Imaging Center and Community Hospital of Staunton) will be temporarily closed from August 6th through August 13th. This closure only affects non-urgent outpatient imaging—we’re still handling inpatient and emergency needs, as well as any cases our physicians determine to be urgent. Outpatient Diagnostic Mammography will remain open and continue to operate as usual during this time. Clerical staff will be on location and able to assist with any clerical needs.
We are actively working to resolve these challenges and are hopeful of having additional support in place soon. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to add additional resources to our Radiology team.

OB Circular Drop Off/Pick Up Area Closure Begins On August 1
As part of the ongoing ER construction project, the circular driveway entrance to the OB department will be temporarily closed beginning Friday, August 1 – August 8. The closure of this area will have several phases and updates will be forthcoming.
Work must be completed in this area, and as a result, Pavilion patients will need to use the adjacent sidewalk for drop-off and entry. The wheelchair ramp will remain accessible during this time.
As a reminder, due to the volume of construction equipment, ambulance traffic, and changing conditions in the south lot, please drive slowly and follow signage intended to help you safely navigate our south lot.
Please note that construction timelines are subject to weather and other factors, so updates may occur with little notice. We appreciate your flexibility and support as we move into this next phase.
We know construction can be inconvenient, and we’re grateful for your understanding. This important project will ultimately result in an expanded and enhanced Emergency Department— strengthening our ability to care for the community for years to come. Follow our Info Page: https://bit.ly/45itCzw
