"Evergy" contacted me saying there's been a flag on my account for non-payment and a technician will be out in 45 minutes to disconnect. They said we should have received this notification in the mail and didn't respond, so to avoid a disconnect fee, blah blah. Well, having the bill in my hand that is due Dec 23, I asked for my account number, to which they said they weren't going to give that to me, but that we needed to resolve this within 45 minutes when the technician disconnects us. I asked for the number to resolve it "888-881-4168". I called Evergy to the number on my bill and they said I am the 10th call she personally got today, and that its been all businesses being targeted.
