CNA week is off to a great start! We are celebrating our champions with sports attire and stadium food, including hot dogs, nachos, and snow cones. Thank you for everything you do for our residents!

Yesterday, we had a visit from a real-life Meeko. An orphaned baby raccoon was brought in by one of our team members, and our residents enjoyed spending quality time with him. He received an abundance of love and affection in the short time spent with us here at Nodaway Nursing Home.

Happy birthday to our residents born in May! We got to celebrate by enjoying some cake and ice cream with the Mosaic Hospice volunteers. This event created a wonderful memory we can cherish forever!

Last week, we had a wonderful time celebrating National Nursing Home week. Our residents enjoyed many activities like tie dye, canvas art, wooden figure painting, and more! We rounded out the already fantastic week with a game of wack-a-mole, where both the staff and residents were laughing to tears. We are so grateful for the amazing community we have built out here Nodaway Nursing Home! We are excited for what is yet to come.

Our Mothers Day Tea Party was a resounding success, with our residents savoring delicious snacks and sweet treats while engaging in lively conversations with family and friends. We are indebted to Maryville Florists for their donation of individual carnations for each of our female residents, a thoughtful gesture that was met with heartfelt gratitude.

We proudly celebrate Nurse's Week by expressing our heartfelt gratitude to the outstanding nurses at Nodaway Nursing Home. To demonstrate our appreciation, we treated our staff to a taco bar lunch and presented each nurse with a 'Nurse's Survival Kit', carefully assembled by our assistant director of nursing. Our residents participated in the celebration by creating hand made cards to display at the nurse’s station, to serve as a reminder of their everlasting appreciation and support.
