***PRACTICE POLICY FOR INCLEMENT WEATHER AND SCHOOL CLOSINGS***
With the weather forecast calling for snow and ice, it's time for us to address how we operate when faced with inclement weather and school closings...
Let us be very clear - Dr. Eberting grew up in Pennsylvania, so his attitude toward snow is different from most others in East Tennessee. That said, he will resist closing the office unless it is absolutely necessary.
For any office, if the City of Maryville Schools closes, we will be closed. After that, our closing the office due to inclement weather will be on an office-by-office basis.
For Knoxville/Hardin Valley, we will watch what Oak Ridge Schools does before deciding whether we're open or closed.
For Morristown, after nine years, we're STILL playing it by ear.
If we close, we will try to have something posted by 8:00 AM on Facebook. If nothing is posted, it means we're open.
If we are open, and you feel the roads are too treacherous for you to keep your appointment, we certainly understand. Your safety is of paramount importance to us. We ask that you call us to let us know you won't be driving to our office that day. Also, we will start calling our patients to confirm appointments for that day. If you need to reschedule, we certainly understand.
Be safe and stay warm!!!
